I'm with you on that one..I'm going to the states hopefully this summer again..maybe in a few years, Europe...we'll see.

I love going on vacations...I have to remember that when I'm whisked away, to bring me back a few days before work..not the day before...lol

Strangely so are insect noises. I never consciously realized how loud the sound of life was in the south of the US...here...just industry and silence. Ick.

Lol... I agree, I actually come back a few days before work, but I've also learned to love layovers when traveling internationally. I angle for 10-12 hour layovers. Stretch, explore, rest, and sometimes find fun/ trouble.

What area of the states are you in? I too love the rain, the hard rain is what I like the sound of the most out here.
