With Trump, Senate RINOs & Dems now all on board the pathway to citizenship train...

...it's left up to House Republicans if anyone's going to rain all over that illegal parade.

You read right. Conservatives are willing to back a citizenship path for Dreamers.

Trump puts path to citizenship for some ‘dreamers’ on the table in immigration deal

Trump has definitely lost some significant core support with this major flip-flop, probably far more (relatively speaking) than the first Bush did with his infamous "Read my lips..." lie - which only cost him - many claim - reelection. If the Dems were smart, they'd take full advantage of Trump coming their way and stab at his vulnerability even deeper: they should tell him to stuff the wall and all the other stuff and demand a straight up or down vote on DACA alone, just as Trump and Republicans demand Dems do with the budget. Fully realizing Trump & all RINOs are for Dreamer citizenship just as much as they are, the Dems can totally blame Trump if he doesn't vote for it attached to anything else, knowing they'll get it eventually no matter what.

You are acting as if this were new news. The real issue is at what price on issues such as chain migration and the lottery. No one with half a brain in politics is going to deny this 'special' group of unassailable victims of some sort of residency.

Is there a reason to deny them a path to citizenship?

Yes some may be without merit and undeserving of citizenship. Some of the uppity little bastards might have to go to jail or be kicked out of the country.

As opposed to those who've done nothing for the country, other than being born here?

With those born here and subject to our jurisdiction there is no choice, with others there is a choice.

Exactly. And those who affirmatively choose to become citizens are generally better citizens than those who have done nothing for that privilege.

I feel certain that Rightguard worked fervently and tirelessly to make sure that he was born in America.

Just that much more socialist/democratic/progressive support for amending Article II, Section 1, Clause 5.

Now it's emerging Trump's plan includes amnesty, aka pathway to citizenship, for "1.8 million" Dreamers.

Also, early estimates claim Trump's amnesty plan comes at the cost of a minimum "38-40%" of his hardcore base.

Huh. Wonder where Trump'd be today if 40% of those who voted for him didn't in 2016?? Wonder how his reelection hopes rate without that 40% in 2020? George H. W. Bush II.

Some have offered Trump truly doesn't intend to run for a 2nd term; that makes more sense, now.

Those without merit wouldn't qualify and aren't part of the conversation. I'm guessing this means you have no objection to those who do qualify.

He'd be president. Unless you're suggesting that any of Trunp's hardcore base would have voted Clinton over Trump.

Just a note:

A RINO is a Gup who's not full Nazi.

Just so that's clear.

Hey, didn't you get the memo from BotanyBoy and others. It's not PC to refer to the Stable Genius and his Repugnican base as Nazis.

After all, they ditched the white hoods and wear golf shirts now.

It's clearly PC if you're a Democrat.

It's just inaccurate and verifiably false.

Just like the idea that Nazi's ever wore white hoods almost surely is.....can you provide any evidence of any Nazi uniforms ever including a white hood??

Thanks for clarifying your memo to the Democrats.

Why they got it the first time around.

You're the only one who needed clarification, maybe carnal flower will show up and try to convince me Trump is like totally, literally, seriously, literally Hitler.

You should look into those Nazi uniforms with white hoods too, I don't think they exist.

How many Communists have you seen playing golf? Exactly.

Meanwhile Benito Mussolini, George Lincoln Rockwell, Adolf Hitler and the Bush guys convicted of being Hitler's bagmen, and Pat Buchanan were all golf maniacs. Adolf had swastikas printed on his Titleists so he could pretend he was whacking Jewish balls. Tromp has the Mexican eagle+snake on his so he can abuse Latinos. Ann Coulter prefers Big Black Balls. Smash-em!

I knew some subversive golfers. They hopped the fence and played for free.

Ever since this guy was a candidate, at every step of the way, it was, "He can't win (this will piss off his supporters and they will walk remix)." Now observe Congress and the pathetic leadership of our traditional, staid, and time-tested conservative politicians and then tell me what incentive at all is there for his base to desert him after he has given them a voice on the national stage?

There is no deal yet, so he cannot be judged yet. They are more likely to be fired up over his recent ass-kicking of Schumer and the Democrats than they are over what they consider "fake news."
