I've lost 26 lbs since Oct.
Things I have discovered on crutches:
1. Closed doors are the enemy.
2. My work needs a closer bathroom.
3. People from Oregon are right to be upset about pumping gas.
4. Bathing while unable to put weight on one foot should be an Olympic sport.
5. There are some nice strangers who will stop and help you with 1 and 3. Be wary of strangers who offer to help with 4.
Now is the time to get one of those little scooters that you kneel on. My wife was pretty speedy with one of those.

you're probably already figuring some of this out but doors you go through backwards same idea was stairs.
Doctors don't know anything about crutches so unless you have them adjusted by a physical therapist probably try reducing the height of the crutches it's going to feel weird at first jamming into this your side but it's more comfortable. The top should dig into your sides and your hands should reach the handholds when your arms are fully extended in that position
Have you ever messed around with parallel bars? you're actually moving like that you're keeping your arms completely stiff and you're swinging your body weight on them like you were on parallel bars. the crutches digging into your side is just forming three points of contact in order to make that structure that your arms are forming.
Thank goodness there are no stairs (or at least no more than one) for me. For work my problem was badging myself in and then getting the door open in time before locking myself out again. My elbows are tender from backing into doors. I probably should have just rested another day and the weekend. At least once the swelling goes down I can wear the oh so sexy boot.![]()
Taking the brothers Grimm to the vet tomorrow, for a weigh in and dental checkup. Everyone else is at work, so I'm going to have my hands full. Charles has a broken canine and some worn enamel from chewing on the bars of his cage... do they drill and fill for dogs? Or is it straight to extraction? I've never had a dog with bad teeth before.
I am thinking an extraction.

It is England, after all. . .
