The battle is joined.

US Constitution, Article IV, Clause 2

I wonder at what point Trump could declare California to be a State in Rebellion? Send in the troops, appoint a military governor, kick the senators and congress critters out of office. It would be highly entertaining to watch.

Lincoln would have already done it.:)

US Constitution, Article IV, Clause 2
The citizens of each state shall be entitled to all privileges and immunities of citizens in the several states.

A person charged in any state with treason, felony, or other crime, who shall flee from justice, and be found in another state, shall on demand of the executive authority of the state from which he fled, be delivered up, to be removed to the state having jurisdiction of the crime.
And that's relevant here, how?

I wonder at what point Trump could declare California to be a State in Rebellion?
Unlike Southern states that called their militias to stand against federal law, California forces have not raised arms against the nation. And you might notice that California, the world's 5th largest economy, is the engine driving USA prosperity.

Go ahead, slice off your dick. See where that gets you.

I can understand why most of California wants to be separated into a new state!

The only good thing about another American Revolution is the certainty that the RWCJ folks here won't last two weeks beyond their next government stipend.

And Moonbeam too. Those state laws will quickly be overturned, on Constitutional grounds, including the Supremacy Clause.

8 USC 1324 makes it a federal crime to harbor an illegal alien or to encourage or induce an illegal to enter the United States:

These federal officers will be conducting their arrests with federal warrants in hand, try and resist or obstruct a federal officer with an arrest warrant and see what happens. The Supremacy Clause makes it quite clear who has the ultimate authority in these immigration matters. I agree Governor Brown and the Attorney General of California should face arrest. California is in rebellion against the Constitution and the federal government. They have zero constitutional right to their own immigration policy.

Many real Americans in California don't want to be represented by San Francisco communists and tech industry radicals.
