I don't' think it's coincidence that this is on the rise, given that the RWCJ voted in a president who has close ties to Russia and likely won't release his tax returns due to money laundering happening there.

Whataboutism (also known as whataboutery) is a variant of the tu quoque logical fallacy that attempts to discredit an opponent's position by charging them with hypocrisy without directly refuting or disproving their argument,[1][2][3] which is particularly associated with Soviet and Russian propaganda.[4][5][6] When criticisms were leveled at the Soviet Union, the Soviet response would be "What about..." followed by an event in the Western world.[7][8][9]

Agreed. For that, and many other reasons (lack of education being one), whataboutism is the only tool in their quivers. And it's the dullest of tools - which is fitting.

Democrats are still in denial

We are a former Democratic Congressman, U.S. Senate candidate, and a former Democratic senior White House advisor and current political and communications strategist and fundraiser. We have been writing this piece since the early morning hours of November 8, 2016. As lifetime active and committed Democrats, we had a pretty good idea about what the ensuing months would bring. So, every time we thought about posting this piece, we realized it would be premature. Democrats have been in a state of denial for a long time – actually before the 2016 election – feeling stuck, rudderless, and adrift.

Before the Obama administration approved a controversial deal in 2010 giving Moscow control of a large swath of American uranium, the FBI had gathered substantial evidence that Russian nuclear industry officials were engaged in bribery, kickbacks, extortion and money laundering designed to grow Vladimir Putin’s atomic energy business inside the United States, according to government documents and interviews.

Rather than bring immediate charges in 2010, however, the Department of Justice (DOJ) continued investigating the matter for nearly four more years, essentially leaving the American public and Congress in the dark about Russian nuclear corruption on U.S. soil during a period when the Obama administration made two major decisions benefiting Putin’s commercial nuclear ambitions.

The first decision occurred in October 2010, when the State Department and government agencies on the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States unanimously approved the partial sale of Canadian mining company Uranium One to the Russian nuclear giant Rosatom, giving Moscow control of more than 20 percent of America’s uranium supply.

Former Obama defense secretary rips former president’s response to Russian meddling

Former President Barack Obama’s Defense Secretary Ash Carter says the prior administration’s response to Russian meddling in U.S. elections was “not sufficient.” Carter made the surprisingly candid comment Sunday to CNN host Dana Bash on “State of the Union.”

“Since the Obama Administration was told way before the 2016 Election that the Russians were meddling, why no action? Focus on them, not T!” the president tweeted. He later suggested that the Obama administration “choked” because they were afraid any action they might take could “hurt” former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.

Trump was referring to a Washington Post report, which quoted a former Obama administration official as saying of Russian meddling in the U.S. elections, “It is the hardest thing about my entire time in government to defend,” the official told the Post. “I feel like we sort of choked.”

On Sunday, Carter became the latest Obama administration official to speak out against the response. Bash noted that Carter was in the Situation Room when Obama was given information about the Russian meddling and she asked the former Pentagon chief directly, “why didn’t he [Obama] act?”

“To me, this was part of a pattern. To me, personally, this was part of a pattern with Vladimir Putin. But I don’t think — I think it’s quite clear that was not sufficient,” Carter said.

I can't believe the GBs self proclaimed homophobe started a thread with homoerotic overtones. huh. :)

Not surprisingly, the RWCJ responded to a thread about whataboutism, by engaging in whataboutism.

Each and every one of them. And they don't get it. That's how much they've fallen for this communist propaganda. They're pawns for the Kremlin!

There is nothing "homophobic" about circle jerking, unless you are the one triggered by the words "circle jerk". I certainly am not.

Now, back to your regularly scheduled whataboutism.

More whataboutism from Ken.

Keep proving my point dude!

So what makes you think it's ok to use homophobic imagery in 2018? I could have sworn the democratic party was the gay party? Maybe you can alienate the gays into telling you all to fuck off. That would be funny. :)

Nothing homoerotic about a bunch of guys in a circle jerking off. Nothing at all. :)

You said "homophobic". You do realize that "homophobic" and "homoerotic" are two different words, with distinct and different meanings, right?

So which is it?

Are you turned on?

We can talk about your fantasies here. This is an erotic literature sight... it's safe for you, Ken.

Well I do, George. What you did there was use a homoerotic image as a pejorative. You do get that, right? :)
