Down my end it is the longest day and so far we have had an early fantastic summer.

'Down' here where I am at, we just had the longest day, & therefore the shortest night - and what a hell of a day, at a 100+ degrees :-(

Thankfully the sun is now departing our hemisphere & things might begin to cool down a bit.
