I think historically women haven't been stigmatised in the same way men have - or at least haven't been physically attacked for it.
Since a good proportion of men are violently phobic about being gay, where women are not, it follows that more women will admit to it because they're less likely to be aggressively challenged for doing so. With that status quo, women don't need to run around waving their personal gay flag, they just get on with it.
On this site assume all women are men unless they regularly post about cats are occasionally bitchy but overall are compassionate. Do women keep posting over and over about lingerie? Nope, we just wear it.
