Exactly. Me too. I don't choose my daily underwear based on the activity, or what I think might be appropriate for a given place and time. Who, but me, cares what I've got on underneath?

I wear what might be considered "panties", which are those which might be more "pretty" or have more of a feminine bent, as well as sexy men's briefs and bikinis which though sexy and pretty were purpose built for the male anatomy.

I choose my underwear based on what I fancy that day and what will me make feel sexy and alive. It usually doesn't matter if I intend for anyone else to know what I'm wearing or not though sometimes my choice might be based on anticipating my wife's reaction when she sees what I've got on.

Another consideration might be what I think is going to be most comfortable for the activity or weather conditions. As an example, some things just feel better when flying or driving on a long trip.
