Nope. Career DOJ leadership will find no cause for a Special Counsel to be appointed.

Not in No Nut November. If they did, they'd just be jacking off.

The case is a touch better than the one against NASA for the ongoing coverup of the faked moon landings. I predict neither have a special counsel appointed.

9 congressional investigations. How did Trey Goudy miss this? He must not be very good at his job.

I'd say no, but it's not like they follow the dictates of common sense or even reasonable logic.

Speaking of leaks... does anyone actually believe that trickle down economics work?
They've a saying about rich, elevated Santa Fe, capitol of dry, poor New Mexico: Water flows uphill, following the money. No, prosperity does not trickle-down. Another law of political physics applies: Shit flows downhill. Any crap above your level will find its way into your lap.

If it is left up to Rosenstein, the answer will be no. He will not want an investigation involving himself, Mueller, Comey, or McCabe. Sessions can find an able federal prosecutor in the DOJ to handle the case. If he finds probable cause and determines the DOJ to be dominated by politicized Obama holdovers who cannot be trusted to follow the law he can appoint a special prosecutor. I just doubt it. More likely a federal prosecutor will be assigned and a grand jury impaneled to investigate available evidence to decide whether to proceed with indictments.
