CNN is shorthand for fake news.
How is your retirement account doing?
It's the economy stupid.

Four years with such an unpopular, ineffective leader would be avoided if you were permitted to form coalition governments and shunt aside such leaders.

There is something to be said in favor of continuity of government, especially for those engaged in commerce. Better the devil you know than the saint you wish to elevate. It's always the old caveat, careful what you wish for. You may regret it.

Trouble is... your sources are fake news. U.S. citizens outside the intellectual centers of Los Angeles and New York, roundly approve of President Trump and what he has been able to accomplish.
I applaud your right to protest.

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Friday shows that 43% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Trump’s job performance. Fifty-five percent (55%) disapprove.

The latest figures include 28% who Strongly Approve of the way the president is performing and 47% who Strongly Disapprove. This gives him a Presidential Approval Index rating of -19

Trump will go down as the worst and biggest joke of a president EVER. This we know.
You assume we'll survive into a future where today's events have been recorded. Tromp with the launch codes invalidates that assumption, or at least shakes it mightily.

I kid thee not. USA and humanity face an existential crisis. It has dyed orange hair.

As much as I'd like to agree, Australia proves this is not the case, let alone other countries.

Since Rassmussen called the election I think we have a certain obligation to pay attention to their polling numbers. And they have Trump @ 44%

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Tuesday shows that 44% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Trump’s job performance. Fifty-four percent (54%) disapprove.

The latest figures include 28% who Strongly Approve of the way Trump is performing and 45% who Strongly Disapprove. This gives him a Presidential Approval Index rating of -17.

The 28% who strongly approve roughly correlates with both Dubya's Bitter Enders in 2007 AND the number of folks who believe the Earth is flat.

Coincidence?

I THINK NOT

Yes but as much as you piss, moan and scream into the night air one year later... he is still your president Rob.

Makes ya wonder what her numbers would have looked like given that she lost.

She's had high approval ratings in every government job she's ever had.

However what I know would be happening is the same stupid partisan bullshit of endless investigations into the same thing.

If the Real Clear Politics poll numbers show Trump at 33% or lower five consecutive weeks, impeachment proceedings automatically begin in the House of Representatives.
It's in the Constitution.

None of Trumps low ratings matter.

Either he'll win re-election or his VP Pence will get in, unless there is a strong candidate to run against him. Establishment GOP and DEM candidates won't win.

Rumor has it that Mueller is probing both RNC and DNC as RICOs for taking foreign money, so there may be no more 'establishment' soon.

No, Tromp's low ratings now don't necessarily mean much in 2020. But they matter NOW because he hasn't popular support, has muscle to force Congress to his will. His 'base' scares many Gup legislators but not too many Dums. The Gup establishment seems to be deconstructing itself.

This poll isn't really showing a change. This is right around his approval rating when he got elected. He got a typical post election bump and then bled that off. Since then he's had relatively stable approval ratings. One important change is hidden by the rollup of different levels of approval. those who approve have shown some shift from strongly approve to somewhat approve. That's really the only sustained change we've seen since he squandered the election bump.

She's had high approval ratings in every government job she's ever had.
She also had really horrible approval ratings during the campaign. During the 2008 primary campaign she barely kept her net favorability above water. Running for President seems to make Americans think badly of Hillary Clinton. She has Trump to thank for keeping the spotlight of net disapproval stories off of her. Being slightly less unfavorable than Donald Trump is not a badge of honor, though. It's not just republican hate. 29% of Democrats disapproved of her going into the general election. If she'd eked out the midwest and won we might well be talking about Clinton's historically horrible approval ratings.
