In the wild, you don't see out of shape, obese animals of any kind.
Humans are out of shape, Obese and don't care.

Seriously? Because we no longer have to work for our food or water. We no longer (unless you do this by choice) go through periods of starvation. And lastly....sugar! Carbs are the root of all evil for us. Our bodies were designed to live on high fat, moderate protein and small amount of carbs (if at all if you follow some theories).

I don't. The human animal is an omnivore. We're built to adapt and survive. That's how we got to where we are. We're equipped to eat almost anything and every thing. People around the world eat, survive and thrive on things that would make a billy goat puke.

And if it was only about diet, you wouldn't see fat pets. It's about a protected life style and the availability of our food source. If you have an abundant food source and a safe environment (where you ain't got no Smilodons or Cave bears chasing your ass to make you into their dinner) you can afford to be fat and happy.

It's all about the Republican-Reptilioid conspiracy to 1) terraform Earth via Global Warming to suit the aliens' climate preferences, and 2) fatten humanity via McFood and carbs to serve as their long-pig food source. We're herd animals on their steaming feedlot. Put that hamburger down and slowly step back - unless you're at Broderick's Roadhouse in West Sacramento, feasting on a Johnny Cash burger with a fried egg and banh mi fries. Then, you're doomed.

Thank you lit

Sugar, bread ,carbs promoted by FDA, and big agriculture
Heads should roll promoting plant based diets.

Bears they pack on the pounds for hibernation!

Natural selection
Fat metabolism, allows animals to not drink water
Camels, bears and others to go for long periods with out
Water or food

Blubber is fat

The word "blubber"... Where do you suppose it comes from?
Fat keeps seals and walruses warm
And fat metabolism is ketotic , giving high energy and water

If you

The word "blubber"... Where do you suppose it comes from?

If you don't understand basic metabolism, then look it up
I'm not just spouting shit here
But I'm sure that you don't even care to check me out
Look up ketosis
Not ketoacidosis, an N stage diabetic complication but ketosis .
The most efficient use of mammalian energy

Humans have dual natures

Humans aren't bad. They're just drawn that way.

Our brains fuck us up, basic needs like food, and sex lead to addictions
Lower animals strive to find food and procreation

In most of the world, even the poor humans are obese

Bullshit. Everyone seems to come up with some hair brained idea about why a section of our population are obese. It has nothing to do with sugar. It has nothing to do with bread. it has nothing to do with "plant based diets". It's a lot simpler then that and people step right over it looking for a much more complicated answer and a universal obesity panacea.

It's as simple and complex as this: You have to balance your caloric intake with your energy output. Back when I was young and buff I ate prodigious amounts of food and didn't gain a freaking ounce. That was because I was also very, very active. When I slowed as I got older I forgot to live by that simple formula and kept eating like I had been. My body said,"Oh fuck! Can't let this go to waste so let's just store it here for future use" and voila just like that an old fat man was created. It ain't what you eat, but how much you eat and how active you are. Simple to say, complex and bitch to do sometimes.

Lower animals only want procreation? I think perhaps you need to get out more. Ever heard of the Bonobo chimpanzees? Check it out. And it's been found that dolphins engage in both recreational and same gender sex. Sometimes life ain't how we think it is or a neat little package of one thing or the other.

You you're so wrong about carbohydrates
The more carbs you eat the more insulin secreted the more type 2 diabetes should get finally the pancreas gives up and you get type 1 diabetes this will never happen by eating fat and protein
You can exercise all you want but you can't prevent the carbohydrates from wreaking havoc on your body like they do

whales, bears, pigs, seals, hippos etc sorry but they ain't skinny and please stop the fat hate, they hate themselves freely already.

oh and the fact that a fat juicy animal is hunted down by predictors also limits your animal fat theory.

Day

Fat metabolism is ketosis
The by product of this is water
That's why bears can hybernate for months with out drinking
Same with seals and walruses no.water to drink ,ketosis keeps them hydrated
The camels hump is fat
Ketosis keeps it hydrated
A humans can not go with out water for very long
Ketosis or fat adaptation is not a theory

You're absolutely right, you won't get diabetes from fat and protein, what you will get is a high cholesterol count and a fucking heart attack. There isn't a "correct" food for a human. As I pointed out we are omnivores, we have evolved and adapted to eat just about anything.

Be that as it may, you're jumping all over the fucking board. That in logic is called moving the goal posts. You start talking about obesity and when that's addressed you jump to something else that's connected but different. Have fun playing your game. I'm done.

Metabolic syndrome is not moving the goal post

Obesity, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol are all caused by high levels of Insulin
Only carbs cause this, more refined even worse
Fats and protein are insulin neutral

The food pyramid has killed and disabled more humans than all the wars of the past century and convinced people like you to believe in bad nutrition

The basics:

* The physics diet: Consume more calories than you expend and you will gain weight. Expend more calories than you consume and you will drop weight.

* Never think of 'losing' weight. We don't like to lose things. And weight isn't 'lost'; we know exactly where it went (down the toilet). Drop weight instead.

* Carbs are a rush. Carbs fuel short-term caloric expenditure i.e. exercise or exertion. If you are not physically active, limit your carbs. That's booze, too.

* Unrefined carbs usually contain other good stuff that's lost in the 'refining' process. They're still short-term energy and they'll fatten a sluggish you.

* Eat many many fresh vegetables and fruits. Wash off the pesticides first.

I used to slurp thousands of carb+fat calories daily and never gained weight. That's because I was a bike messenger in San Francisco, pedaling sometimes-heavy loads up steep hills. If you're not an athlete, cut way back. Depending on your weight and goals, aim toward 1200-1800 calories daily -- 93% of the time. The rest of the time, enjoy!

Yes, you need complete proteins, and they're easiest got from animal sources. If you don't like eating animals you can see, go with eggs and cheese. Yes, you can use DIET FOR A SMALL PLANET make-do's to build fairly complete proteins from vegetable sources. And yes, vegan food can taste good. It must, in order to get people to eat the stuff.
