You can be sure this wouldn't have happened in Texas because of their very liberal gun laws and people carrying.

Won't happen so long as the NRA keeps up the pressure on Congress to prevent any meaningful studies about gun violence. Both former House Speaker John Boehner and Senator Chuck Grassley have both said gun violence is not a disease so there's no reason the CDC should study it.

Yet oddly, the CDC studies and tracks drug overdose deaths, which is also not a disease. When is funding for that going to be cut?
