Maybe not the best thread title, but do you jumble foods normally intended for one meal time?

Most everybody has probably had pizza for breakfast, right?

Leftover casseroles or other dishes made for dinner are a staple for lunch the next day, right?

What about scrambled eggs and sausage for lunch?

Cereal at bedtime? Maybe a cinnamon roll or danish?

Get the idea?

eating leftovers for breakfast used to just be the thing everyone did.

Pasta for breakfast. Chicken tenders and buffalo sauce for breakfast. Eggs Benedict for dinner. Pizza any hour of the day.

Bfd

Breakfast for dinner is big at our house.
As is the "midnight cereal".

I've been known to have a sandwich for breakfast; but usually that happens when breakfast happens at almost-lunch-time.

Whatever is available whenever we're hungry, that's all it takes.

If I have breakfast, it's usually pho or similar without the noodles.
I much prefer savoury foods, and having a nutritional soup is a good way to start the day - especially as I never eat processed grains of any kind, or processed sugars.
I will often have a fruit salad made with a few veges included (such as cucumber or beets) for dinner.

It seems to be a western thing to eat particular foods for certain meals.
I eat according to my taste at the time.

It's also good to Jumble up food from one meal to make a different dish for the next meal. My mom used to take the Thanksgiving turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy, cauliflower and throw it all in a big pot and call it goulash. So good!

Left over takeaway, Chinese, Indian or kebabs for breakfast
Cereal for supper, whatever I find in the fridge that doesn't demand too much effort for midnight snack.

I don't know but dammit this thread is making me realize how hungry I am and dinner is over two hours away. It's especially making me want breakfast for dinner!

When alone, if I stay in I tend to eat simple things - cheese on toast or a salad, etc. With my young heathens, they love breakfast for dinner! Though I tend to throw in left overs from night before. Ie. last nights mashed becomes tonight's fried potato pancakes. So called "jumbles" are called OATK meals in my house - "once around the kitchen"

large order from the local kebab shop has just been delivered, thats breakfast sorted,
should I keep some beer? Don't have to work tomorrow.

One of my favorites too. People do strange things with food. I have a strange habit of eating the topping off of the pizza and then eating crust. One of my two sons does the same. Hereditary or environment:confused::D

Both maybe, Thats not really strange, while not me, I've seen people do that..

Cold Pizza, fried chicken, goulash, last night's lamb shanks, last night's butter chicken, and it all is cold. Wiggling gravey, hardened fat, last night's pork cheeks... That's breakfast. Maybe a protein bar for lunch, dinner can very. I hate breakfast foods. Way to sweet and sugary. I love to bake, but I don't often eat sweet things. I can't think of anything worse than pancakes smothered in syrup, scrambled eggs being molested by the syrup, bacon being tainted by the sweetness. Makes me want to gag.

I had breakfast for dinner. Hash brown potatoes and scrambled eggs with diced ham.

For dessert, a couple coconut cookies, a few bites of dark chocolate and some peanuts.

Not traditional but filling and tasty.

I still want goulash now. I can never make it quite like mom though.. perhaps it’s missing the love of eat it or starve that it was served with. and homemade bread

I make egg fried rice for breakfast sometimes.

Because of how early I get up I have are yogurt or cereal as I'm rushing out the door usually and then I'm starving by about 5:00am.

I get what I call grown-up Lunchables at the 24 hour WinCo sometimes with chunks of chicken, a hard boiled egg, some almonds, and carrots. The almonds I hate because they are raw and unsalted and almost inedible, but I came from a clean your plate family so I eat 'em like they are vitamins.

Still in breakfast time zone I frequently will get a Jumbo Jack, or egg rolls from Le Jaque.

If I am craving carbs, fresh pretzels or personal pizza from QT. Those pizzas are nothing like cold pizza for breakfast because they make them fresh and bake them in like 4 minutes in those microwave / convection ovens of theirs. Their BLT makes a great breakfast as well.
