Work not published - Why?

I submitted a poem on 10/16/17 about which I have received no messages, but it has not been published in the "Poems"section. How long must I wait for a message telling me of a problem or indicating my poem has been published? I have a sequel prepared but am reluctant to submit it until I know the fate of my first submission.

Was it audible or illustrated? Those take longer to post. If not, it should have been posted after one or two days.

Same thing happened to.

Submitted a story on 10/16 and it stayed pending. Sent an email, waited a day, sent another email, no response. Usually I get a response, so I don't know what happened there. After 8 days pending, I deleted it and re-submitted it in the hopes that changes whatever was keeping it on the pending list.

Frustrating, but I can't seem to do anything about it other than wait. This will be day 10 since I submitted it that I'm still waiting.
