Good thing you're not judging. You're only generalizing about what's wrong about all the fat, poor people making worse decisions than you, while being sure to clarify that they're mixing races.

Judging doesn't necessarily make you racist or homophobic, in fact at its most natural, it's the simple act of forming an informed opinion. Generalizing, stereotyping and judging when you are pretending that you aren't, is a wholly different kettle of fish.

I say this hoping it could shed light on what it reads like to someone besides yourself. Making an observation, having an opinion, even making judgements are far different from being instinctively self-aggrandizing and judgemental.

If you look at the parts of your quote I put in bold, you'll see that it felt to me like you did.

You may have genuinely thought those were objective observations, but I felt they were consciously or subconsciously directed towards pointing out their failures and stating that clearly, you know better or are better.

We all make judgements. We'll be better humans if we own them when we do.

Ie - I can't say, "Look at that fucking idiot, listening to his shitty music..." and then wrap it up by saying I'm not judging.

I don't know if you're genuinely asking or not, but yes - I believe you could have made those observations and had your opinions and presented them in a less judgemental manner.
