It turns out you can turn mushroom gravy into a pretty killer spicy brown sauce for stir fry.

I keep hankering for a "like" button for posts like this one.

I guess Facebook happened since I was a regular here and it's likely caused irreversible damage.

There's an article I read once about how the "like" button caused irreversible damage to the internet and how people related on it. Something about people substituting the "like" button instead of actually telling them.

If it means anything, it means more to me to be told personally than it does to simply have a "like" show up. :rose:

Death scares me. It truly gives me anxiety.

Dont think like that, it deters you from all the good things in life, whatever those may be for you. Death is inevitable. When you're old as we will all get there, look back and say, I did it, all the things that made me sing inside...

I think it's likely infected us with some lazy communication habits.

In real life, I do like both - there's something to the simplicity of a head nod - or fist bump that says, "yeah....right on." This is not accomplished by FB's like button, mind you - but I felt inspired to speak up for the non-verbal affirmations.

Some around me may not believe it, but sometimes, I like less words.

what a beautiful sentiment :rose::cool:

It used to scare me. Not so much anymore. When it's my time, it's my time. Live each day BIG.

Don't be scared, Friend. I'll hold your hand.

I am afraid of death, of course, but when I stared it right in the face, I was totally calm about it.

jeezus frikkin' christ - i don't know who she is, i can't find it in me to care, i have no idea of her political leanings because i CAN NOT listen to the woman - she's not only LOUD, the quality of her voice is akin to biting tinfoil - just can't do it

True. But a fist bump or a knowing nod or smile is hard to communicate non verbally on the net. Even with the smileys/emojis - whatever they're called these days - and I am a particular fan of them. :D

I have to admit I like the written word. Not too flowery, but direct and meaningful.

Gotta be Ann Coulter. She has a voice best for print media.

I am literally looking up the plot to Meatballs to use as a professional analogy.

Funny thing is, I should've done it a long time ago.

I like the "like" button when I really don't have anything to say, just wanna let someone know "yeah, I read this".

Well its the internet so you can be anybody you wanna be, i figured every variation of troll was already taken so I chose a different character.. I'm rather new at this benevolence thing so I'll need a bit more practice.
