i believe it hit the 90's today.

my tomatoes and peppers are still actively producing. within the month, that will be gone. could be tonight or tomorrow. there's no telling around here. snow one day. swamp humid the next.

this is the biggest crop i've seen. i think it's because of the hurricanes last month causing a more temperate and wet climate for us.

We're due for a frost anytime now. Maybe next week, we'll see as summer keeps hanging on here.

I'm hoping for a better everything year next year. The temps along with a quirky soil thing this summer made the tomatoes unhappy and I didn't get my usual crop.

i co-planted with asparagus and they've been very healthy and abundant. next year i have to start a new area/patch, to give the asparagus room to produce and expand. i will probably dig one plot out on either side for tomatoes and peppers. a border of basil would be nice as well. the basil in the garden this year was some that came back from a previous year. it was just a good year.

as soon as the temps drop again, i need to clean out some beds. it seems like the leaves change colors and drop overnight.
