About 42 St NYC, early 70's. Maggie Gillenhaal is outstanding. Margarita Levieva reminds me of the college girls I use to roll around with back in the day.

we're loving it here
and with james franco as exec producer and maggie gyllenhaal as producer of 8 episodes, as well as franco directing his own twin-performances... awesome stuff.

I like it so far, but Maggie Gyllenhaal is by far the best reason to watch.
Margarita Levieva is curious casting; she's closer to being eligible for AARP than she is to college age.
I could do without all the man on man action, and Maggie Gyllenhaal.
So I guess just the one problem then.
so do i. her acting makes for a wonderfully believable character tired of what's she's doing to survive; beaten and used, using and determined not to get beaten by the system, her strength as an individual.I think that Maggie Gyllenhaal is awesome. There was a great scene in Sunday's episode of her reaction to being unsatisfied by her lover. I don't want to spoil it for those who have not watched.
70 and 71 my freshman and sophomore years, we spent a lot of time bar hoping and hanging around Times Square. The producers nailed the atmosphere.
she's fascinating to watch, and the double parts of franco are pretty interesting, too, imo.I like it so far, but Maggie Gyllenhaal is by far the best reason to watch.

that's great acting - especially in the scenes where she's alone, drinking, not trying to 'look sexy' for anyone.Actually her acting is pretty decent in it. She is believable. I just cant stand looking at her. Especially naked.

she's only 37! and looks so young for that given the hair and 70's stylings. i hope to see a lot more from this character with her new ballsy attitude to the pimps
