Beats hell out of snot on your boob.
Our mini-D did that too. Especially first thing in the morning when she was excited about scarfing down breakfast. Sadly, had to put her down at the end of August, so no more "snorfles". Our vet said allergies, too. (Maybe she was allergic to three cats.)
