Senator Bob Corker, the Republican chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, charged in an interview on Sunday that President Trump was treating his office like “a reality show,” with reckless threats toward other countries that could set the nation “on the path to World War III.”

In an extraordinary rebuke of a president of his own party, Mr. Corker said he was alarmed about a president who acts “like he’s doing ‘The Apprentice’ or something.”

“He concerns me,” Mr. Corker added. “He would have to concern anyone who cares about our nation.”

From New York Times

Nice to have someone on the record

And considering how instrumental he was in garnering mainstream republican support, he should damn well be speaking out right now.

Don't get me wrong, I'm grateful someone in the republican party is finally voicing what anyone with a brain has been thinking since this clown show pulled out of the station, but the reality is that Corker lent mainstream republican legitimacy to the asshat in chief.

He has a debt to repay and while his words are important, they may never be enough.

From the article

All but inviting his colleagues to join him in speaking out about the president, Mr. Corker said his concerns about Mr. Trump were shared by nearly every Senate Republican.

“Look, except for a few people, the vast majority of our caucus understands what we’re dealing with here,” he said, adding that “of course they understand the volatility that we’re dealing with and the tremendous amount of work that it takes by people around him to keep him in the middle of the road.”

As for the tweets that set off the feud on Sunday morning, Mr. Corker expressed a measure of powerlessness.

“I don’t know why the president tweets out things that are not true,” he said. “You know he does it, everyone knows he does it, but he does.”

Corker tweeted: “It’s a shame the White House has become an adult day care center. Someone obviously missed their shift this morning.”

I'm not sure why Corker would not say Trump was unfit for the NYTs article when he said this back in August, before he announced he would not seek reelection.

A leading Republican senator told reporters on Thursday that President Trump "has not yet been able to demonstrate the stability, nor some of the competence that he needs to demonstrate in order to be successful."

Corker is kind of an idiot. He helped create frankenstein's monster, and now he's surprised that it's gotten out and attacked the village?

Not really.

Sure it is. The Democrats rigged the primaries so Bernie couldn't win. They gave the nomination to Hillary Clinton, a sleazy shit-bag.
I judged Trump to be slightly less toxic and voted for him. I celebrated Hillary Clinton's loss, not Trump's victory.

Not really.

Yes, really.

Clinton and the (D)'z were so bad they couldn't even get white girls to vote for the white girl over "grab em' by the pussy!" .

Ya'll ran a bunch of Obama voters and the middle class into the arms of Trump.

Enjoy!!! and keep up the good work. :D

With regard to the 2016 election, the American people played the hand they were dealt.

Like I was trying to say, we're all entitled to our personal perspectives.

Greatly in part to Clinton vilifying the 2nd amendment... and here they go trying a losing play again.

RINO statist Corker has always sang the same Tool tune. Remember this "Change" classic a year and a half ago, his "wisdom" about what the Tool must do if he even hoped to win later that November...

Sen. Bob Corker: Trump Is 'Going to Have to Change'
http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/sen-bob-corker-trump-change/story?id=39611502

The Tool didn't change and still pulled-off the most incredible win in American presidential election history.

RINO statist Corker hasn't changed, either: he's still whining the same loser's tune.

RINOs and progressives are simply two sides of the same statist coin...

Which is THE ONLY REASON WHY GB socialists are singing their twin brother Corker's praises today.

Corker: "The emperor has no clothes"

Lit's RWCJ: Yes, he does, and they're beautiful clothes, the best clothes anyone has ever worn.

That played a part yes. But people who put that as a priority hardly ever vote (D) anyhow.

Considering the white girl couldn't get white people to vote for her though I think the larger (D) message of "Fuck white people , especially the straight, cis males....double extra super fuck that Nazi filth!!!" was what cost them the most.
