Canadian Thanksgiving!

Does it count if I'm thankful that I am not Canadian?

This is not idle gratitude you understand. I was probably conceived in Canada where my parents were living at the time. My unfortunate sister is a Cannuck.

No, that’s fine... i’m also grateful you’re not Canadian.

Fair enough.

I find you tolerable the same way I find Winston Churchill the "Englishman" tolerable. I credit you both having an American parent a reasonable brake on the insufferable. I mean look at SoftRom he had English parents and he's Canadian so he's doubly insufferable.

I used to date an actress from vancouver you’d recognize... she liked fucking to the speeches of churchill.

They worked; those were some of my finest hours.

Reminds me of that scene in A Fish Called Wanda where Jamie Lee Curtis and John Cleese are going at it and she likes accents.

Actresses are always full of surprises.

IIRC Canada has a national prime minister and each province has its own premier. A very federal system. Why not handle Thanksgiving similarly? The CAN national day, supplemented by distinct provincial days, none the same as in USA, should see skyrocketing sales of seasonal specials. Then the Looney might be worth something again.

We moved Christmas to the 27th for that very reason.
