Not an easy question to answer. For mild steel I would go with arc. For something that needs to be clean I would go with the TIG, but account for the additional heat. MIG can do the aluminum wire with specialized push-pull guns. MIG can also lay down a big bead using cored wire. Make sure the parts are free of grease with cored wire or you will get porosity.
