no images in posts

Anyone know why I only get clickable links in the posts instead of loaded images? I tried searching for answer, but I haven't enough days left on this earth to go through all those posts. Is this just a broken thing like the uneditable profiles?

Some posters simply don't do it right.

In other cases, board photo polices prohibit direct embedding, but allow links.

All posts (including my own) in all threads. I had a friend check and they load fine using her UN on my computer

Check this section of your forum options. You're looking for the three selections regarding images about 3/4 of the way down the page. Make sure the one for view images in posts is active.

As a follow up to this question, is it possible to post an image without a url (ie a jpg file on your computer) so that it is imbedded with the text of the message rather than as an attachment?
