I have never been involved in a threesome, but have fantasized about it a fair bit. To me, it would never be extra 'work', more like extra 'fun'. There may be some logistical issues about who should be where and doing what, to whom, but it would all work out in the end. The biggest issue that I could forsee is that all three would have to be willing to engage the other two.
