That's been routine for years. What is encouraging here is Trump now has Republicans on notice. Govern, or I'll do it with Rinos and Democrats.
It wouldn't shock me at all if Trump made history by running on the Democrat ticket in 2020.

even if I don't like this deal and I haven't even looked at it I doubt that I do but I like the idea of people from both sides the aisle finding something ...anything ...they can agree on.
I am not a fan of Tip O'Neill but he found ways to work with Reagan they were in complete opposite ends of the political spectrum.
I can't see myself ever voting Democrat but fuck the Republicans. They had seven years of whining about Obamacare and now they have the ability to replace it with whatever they want and they can't even peel part of it away or fix any of it.

The whole notion of the Congress and Senate having to vote to raise the debt ceiling is ridiculous.
Nobody takes it seriously, as if the US could shut the government down during the aftermath of the hurricane in Houston and as Irma bears down on Florida.

I am curious. Schumer and Pelosi are MINORITY leaders in Congress. That means they don't control a majority of votes. That means they had to peel-off move than a few GOP votes to attain a majority to pass a bill for POTUS to sign. So, who are the GOP traitors?

If so, how do you put a cap on debts, then work on a new tax plan that reduces them?

So basically, does that mean, a hurricane relief fund would not pass otherwise? Or since the GOP maj has to pass it to issue funds for the hurricanes, so they got the deal shoved down their throats?

Yes, it would be much easier to peel off Republicans now than Democrats, I think, and Trump isn't any more Republican than he is Democratic. It would be a smart move if the Democrats in Congress could peel him away from his despicable base by offering him a more moderate/stable/sane/larger one and for him to proceed more moderately with a Democrat-moderate Republican coalition. It would be a luscious bitch slap at both the ultra conservative Republicans, teapartiers, and alt-right (assuming there's much of a difference in those).
