Do you stick to one section/forum? Or do you hop around? If so, do you have a 'home' forum? Or are you a true transient poster? Are there sections you avoid?

I use the 'New Posts' search, then scan for interesting thread titles. Also the User Control Panel to check for updated threads. I don't really have a home.

I generally avoid the Personal and kinkier threads.

I never noticed the new posts search, but now that you mention it, there it is right there on top. I'll try that out. It's kind of a drag sometimes when there's like eight or twelve FULL minutes between new posts.

I mainly stay here on the GB. When it's slow here, or when it's just a bunch of angry political threads, I also read Fetish and Sexuality Central, and sometimes comment there. More often than not, I just read.

One thing I really enjoy about lit is the window into the private lives, thoughts, experiences and conversations of others. I can watch and read an entire conversation unfold here without ever feeling the need or obligation to contribute or participate. I'm normally not even noticed at all. I enjoy that very much.

People rarely talk about fucking here anymore, though. I do miss that. Sigh.

My wife and I take turns playing on or in Lit. We more or less do the New Post way like you do. Mostly we stay away from political and religeous threads but they seem to rule over sex posts.
I believe more people are here to bitch and moan than to fuck and moan!;)

when i've time and inclination, the poetry forum comes first, with a few threads on the general board and the UK thread in the playground

i've been known to visit the authors' forums and then there are my personal submissions page and stories/poetry of others here

when i'm not in writing mode and my time is limited, it's mainly dropping into the general board for a couple of posts, the gen board lounge, and my inbox.

When I first log on, I generally start at the top of the main board and work my way down, looking into each forum that might interest me that day and reading the newer posts that catch my eye. If it's a slow day for interesting posts, after that I may go back and read some of the older posts. Someplace along the line, I take a break from that, check my PM's, respond to a few, and clear out the dead ones.

I stick to the General, and spy over in the BDSM. I scan the Personals just to see what it's like. I haven't posted in Poetry for a long time. I browse the How To.

If I read an interesting thread/post, I will search for their stories.

I hop around but mostly lurk on the GB while posting in the PG/BDSM boards.

Same. My user CP is bookmarked and then I scan the first page or two (depending on how fast things are moving) of New Posts.

I generally stick to the General board. Generally.

Just visited the Tech Support board for the first time ever.
It seems that after The Great Upgrade you can't change your profile anymore. It keeps asking for your password over and over.

I tend to follow threads I am already involved with in some way first.
Then I check out the general board titles, followed by the "new posts" menu.
If anything interests me anywhere on Lit, I check it out.
About once a month, I check for posts that reference certain posters.

If I have time, and am in the right space I might help Mr. Bear and Moo post their advice column, but lately since recently received someone's entire DVD collection, they have just been binging on movies and tv shows.

I apparently do Lit as a guest while kinks are worked out.

I always start with Story Ideas, then the Fetish and Sexuality forum, and then if I'm not out of time, I hop around at random.

I just sort of wander around aimlessly until something catches my interest.

Author's Hangout is home. If nothing interesting is happening there, I hop into the General Board and the Lounge. Like today.

I check AH then the GB and click around from there. Think I'll start looking at recent post and see where that leads...haven't done that before.

When I first came to Lit, I used to wander around aimlessly. This interface wasn't intuitive; and, I really was overwhelmed by the magnitude of it all.

After I discovered "Thread Tools" and "Quick Links," and was able to navigate back to posts I happened to find and liked, I continued to explore just to see what I'd find.

Now that my subscribed list if full of threads that suit my interests, I tend to check my Subscribed Links for recent posts to my favorite threads (for some I get email notifications, for some I choose not to) as well as the New Posts link in the menu/navigation bar at the top of the page. Between those two, my bases are covered. If nothing jumps out in those areas, I just go exploring on whatever threads pique my curiosity.

There are a few places I where I lurk often as well as threads in which I regularly participate. The one thread I enjoy participating in by leaving audio links on topics of the day is:

I usually go to the Politics board first, though I rarely post there anymore. From there I go to the General board and then from there I like to skip around.

I find the GB political threads or some current event thread to be the most entertaining. I find the GB reflective of the split you see in current society. Left or Right? I like the center, it's easier to get a rise out of people. :D

Its straight into the Fetish and BDSM categories for me - I will sometimes have a browse through the other boards but I'm always amazed by the number of political threads and word games. I had imagined most people came here for sexy talk but it appears not!

Private Messages first, How To second, then I bounce around between the GB, PG, BDSM, F&S hoping to find something interesting or fun.

I find F&S to be a constant source of dissapointment. I enjoy reading, and have even written about, kinks that I don't happen to share, but that section seems to attract the most serious cases of arrested development here.

Intellectually I don't think one has to have emotional and social development issues to develop or enjoy a fetish, but reading many threads there would lead one to think so.

At some point I started a thread about that. Why is it that everyone there seems to express their predilections in the least palatable terms possible?

LGBT is boring these days, so I'm posting more in GB with Iggy-boost. But Lit overall is pretty immature/boring so I'm spending more time on reddit - there's more choice there and I've met some nice people... and real world stuff

Over time, I've expanded to other areas of the forum.

I hit BDSM, F&S, GB, Political board, Playground, Personals, AmPics, and the Darkroom.

I might add more over time.
