Clarification - characters under 18

hello, I understand and approve of the rule about not having characters under 18 having sex.

1) i'm considering writing a story involving people who grew up together. The story will deal with their behavior and interaction as adults, over 21. Do you see any issue saying they played spin the bottle when 12 or the 12 year-old birthday girl insisted all the boys give her a kiss? No sex. No hanky-panky. I'm not planning on including any description. I want to say she was the first girl he kissed. it happened at her 12th b-day party.

2) I recently saw a movie from the 1950's and thought i could re-work it for a Nude Day story. The plot is a woman is traveling with her six year-old daughter. they get lost, the car breaks down and they are stranded in the boonies. A man happens upon them. He can't fix the car so he takes them to his place. She stays there a few days while her car is repaired. Surprise! it's a nudist colony! She's put off by the nudity. Her little girl embraces it. Eventually, the woman comes around and joins in.

In the movie, the daughter is shown naked as are other kids and the adults. The producers had to go to court to get it into the theaters. The court declared nudity without sex or erections wasn't pornography.

There was nothing sexual in the film. It was kids running around or playing on swings, nude people swimming, topless women playing volleyball, etc... Do you think having a naked six year-old in the story will be a problem?

I could delete the daughter, but in the movie her innocence questions about what's wrong with not wearing cloths brought her mom around.

I think that would be OK.

Again, I think that would be OK. I've written stories with nude children in them. As long as it's absolutely clear that the child isn't engaging in sex, or in sexual situations, I suspect it would pass.

But Laurel is the ultimate judge on this. When you submit the story, make sure that you put something in the comments section bringing up the nudity and express your intent.

Well, I would have a small problem with the way you put that if I were Laurel. It's her site, her rules. I don't think that she enjoys the role of "morality police" but she's operating under legal restraints that have to be honored. I think that has to be respected. I'm sure you didn't mean it as a put-down, but it kind of comes across that way.

I know it's strange, but the "acceptability" rules in the mainstream are looser than they are in the erotica field--and the rules for Literotica are totally under the control of the owners of the Literotica Web site. So comparison between what you see or read in the mainstream to what you can post to Literotica doesn't have much relevance.

Your No.1 scenario might fly if the mention of the teenage activity is minimal, absolutely non sexual.

Re. No.2 - placing a six year old character into a nudist colony, however innocent her portrayal, places the character into a sexualised context from the start, especially if (as your story precis implies) she would need to be featured naked regularly to make the plot point. I doubt it would pass - the logic sort of goes: erotica writing site + high profile comp + nudist colony + sexual activity somewhere (it's an erotica contest entry...) + naked six year old child = probably not.

Agreed on both. I would expect #2 to be rejected as given, but if in doubt, PM Laurel and ask.

1) I see no problem there.

2) The best advice is shooting Laurel (site admin and vet in chief) a PM. In the end she's the one calling the shots and going to her might be the quickest solution.

FYI as suggested i sent this to Laurel.

#2 having a nude child at a nudist colony is a problem for Literotica.

I can/will write a story without the child. I wanted to avoid sending a story in for the next Nude Day contest and having it rejected and then, trying to re-write it quickly and re-submit it.
