Bye, bye Bannon

It's about fucking time. Will Trump attempt to diminish Bannon's significance retroactively?

Bannon has urged Trump to be contentious and combative, which clearly has hurt him very badly, especially this week.

What will be interesting is to see how Breitbart covers Trump moving forward.

Btw, I thought he hired the "best" people. The turnaround this administration has seen at the most senior levels is astounding.

Watching his Presidency implode like this is glorious.

He is the fucktard we said he was.

He's been losing his favorable coverage from right leaning rags all week. Breitbart may just have the leverage to sink Trump's numbers even lower. :D Trump saying Bannon only tied his wagon to Trump after Trump started winning multiple states won't help Trump's cause.

Bannon has more lives than a cat. Has he actually been "removed"? Until he's walking out of the White House carrying his cardboard box of personal items, I wouldn't be saying "bye-bye" to him. Even the cited article said it might not happen for some time, and who knows how the stomach may turn another time or too in that time? I didn't read the entire article, but the significant point, I think, is that there's little reason to believe that he isn't one of the people you'd rather having inside the tent pissing out than outside pissing in.

In an effort to save face, Bannon has said he resigned a while ago, it just became effective August 14th.

I'd rather have Bannon outside pissing in.

:nods:

The "more lives than a cat" thing might be on account of him being undead.

And I actually agree with your last point, but I don't think Trump really thinks strategically, like ever. Look at what he did this week to undermine Jeff Flake. Whatever else you might think of Flake, he's proven he can win that Senate seat, something I doubt is true of the nutbar who is running against him in the primary. Trump needs congressional majorities to keep the heat on him from boiling over, but all he cares about right now is revenge on Flake.

Bannon was either cooked the second he talked to Robert Kuttner, or he said all that to Kuttner because he already knew he was out.

But yeah, he's got a giant megaphone should he choose to go that route. And if what Scaramucci said about him is true, there's always daddy porn.

I think Trump has been wary where Bannon was from the very beginning.

Well, so would I.

But is it true? Has Bannon been seen leaving the building with his cardboard box? I haven't seen a confirming report yet--but don't have the news running.

He could always be a spokesman for Abreva.

Ha!

Well, so would I.

Naturally. :)

From back in April:

"If Bannon is pushed out it will be open warfare from the outside in," Bardella warned. "And all of the sudden the pages of Breitbart, who have been incredibly generous to Donald Trump to say the least, will start turning their fire on him or, at the very least, assign blame saying Trump betrayed the conservative right because of Jared Kushner and liberal Democrats inside the White House have turned them against us."

"They're concerned they are about to lose their link to the West Wing and direct access to the president through Steve Bannon," Bardella explained. "Clearly Steve is under siege right now. The fact that so many on the conservative right so forcefully came out against the actions of the president and strikes in Syria just tells you how much trouble Steve actually really is in."

"But they are really going out there publicly, hammering Jared Kushner-aligned strategies because they see Steve could be in jeopardy and could be asked to leave at some point in the near future," he continued.

Multiple sources have confirmed to multiple outlets.

Yes, now I've seen the announcement, thanks. Let the shredding of Trump from the crazy right now explode.

Check the last posts in the 30th week thread.

Bannon might turn out to be Von Stauffenberg after all.
