Remember when Hall's "I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it" was once like an unratified amendment to the Constitution, so prevalent was its truth to America's political spirit?
Not any more.
Just like monstrously denying the most innocent and defenseless among us the unalienable right to life by intentionally and tortuously killing babies simply for convenience, now the communists/progressives/Democrats/leftists/liberals in America are denying everyone they don't agree with the unalienable rights of free speech and assembly, simply because free speech and assembly is inconvenient, too, to their communist ideology, and wield their communist hammer of violence to quash both...
Read that again: it's "not the words or ideas" of the mentioned despicable speaker University of Florida President W. Kent Fuchs proclaims as the reason UF is denying First Amendment rights to that same speaker; it is "The likelihood of violence and potential injury" AGAINST that speaker's words and ideas and those who would peacefully assemble in support which is why UF is disallowing the right to free speech and assembly in direct violation of the First Amendment.
Yep, progressives are now successfully using their communist mob rule force and violence to totally suppress the unalienable rights of free speech and assembly in America, unabashedly outing themselves as unarguable domestic enemies of the Constitution for the United States of America itself.
Little, whiny, socialist-raised babies who never grew up enough to grasp the native truth of Sticks and stones may brake my bones, but words can never hurt me, now jackboot march with violent force to suppress the free speech of everyone who doesn't share their communist ideology...
And yet, as always, the immutable law of cause and effect awaits.
American Shame on the University of Florida and its President for so easily surrendering to the communists' promise of violence to shut down free speech and peaceful assembly, instead of standing up and defending the First Amendment.
Why, it's almost as if UF sides with the communist domestic enemies of the Constitution.

* for reference, and if so inclined, research LIT back over the years to read the infamous eyer prophesying that it would, indeed, be the socialist liberals/progressives who would clamor for the quashing of free speech.
And also: note the glee in which the native progressive pos here on LIT are reveling because of the anti-First Amendment "success" their communist tribe is currently enjoying.
Not any more.

“The likelihood of violence and potential injury – not the words or ideas – has caused us to take this action.”
