There's a pile of video coverage. Sitting in Charlottesville, I had it running for over two days nonstop. You haven't seen it because you don't want to see it; it doesn't support your agenda. You could find it yourself if you didn't want to be a blind coward.

Right that the police were caught flat footed. And as far as I can determine from talking directly to people who were on the scene, the police dragged their feet in intervening in the fighting, but you are wrong with this post (which I'm sure you just made up to suit your agenda).

The reason the police were caught flat footed in the first place is they assumed the arrival schedules the separate groups gave them would be adhered to (which was a pretty dumb assumption). The counter protestors started forming up at 7:00 for the noon demonstration (I actually received an email telling counter protestors to start showing up at 7:00 to be there when the alt-right showed up--but what I'd been telling people for days was just to stay home and not give the alt-right demonstration an audience or foil). When the alt-right demonstrators started showing up, also early, contrary to their schedule, the counter demonstrators were already there--but the police weren't there in an force.

So, the police didn't route anyone anywhere. Both sides of the demonstration were lined up by their own choices before enough policemen had arrived to take control.
