Well, going back 22 presidents and finding 3 southerners (who, by the way, did more to progress civil rights than all of the other presidents together, save FDR--actually Eleanor) is nearly a century. How much more do you need?

They may be poor losers but one thing is for sure - there are an order of magnitude more of them then I previously thought.
