You're not imagining it: the rich really are hoarding economic growth

Jesus, another one.

You said something really stupid, and when someone called you on it you attack them.

It explains everything about you.

Do you really think all rich people inherited their money instead of earning it? You did say that, didn't you?

It's a simple yes or no question.

You were not born rich. You're not rich. You will never be rich.

Do you believe you'll ever be rich?

It's a simple yes or no question.

Why would I want to read more of your posts? The last one was more than enough.

That aside, exactly what does "research who funded women's liberation completes the circle" mean?

Probably the same as people who hoard economic growth.

What is the source of the research you recommend?

Its a discussion thread. It has a continuity. I posted the relevant elements in my post on the first page.

But, I did not realize before, that you were one of the morons, just skewed differently.

Now I know.

Nope.

Now can you answer my question without asking me another...again?

Other than a tiny, insignificant percentage, rich people are born into their money.

You keep voting for their interests.

The real question is: why?

Yes the tax code has been used by the wealthy to increase their wealth. Putting it back is not "social justice outcomes". It's smart economics for the middle class.

It's not taxes they use but access to their markets.

Putting it back? LOL

And since when has it been good for the middle class to take more from them??

You keep thinking the actual income tax rate paid by US corporations is near 40%. Indeed. Cuz you know, no loopholes or anything exist and there aren't vast scores of US corporations paying none or almost no income tax. Wow.

The only loophole on corporate taxes is one of reality....corporations don't pay taxes, they collect them.

Consumers pay taxes.

That's why pretty much all the taxes we have are regressive as fuck.

While you're worried about "social engineering" - wtf? really - I'd like to see a return to tax policy that is based in common sense and not some ultra rich guy's wet dream.

EVERYONE pays XX.XX %

It's fair and not some degenerate looser who can't get their hustle on wet dream.

Every time the top 1 (or .01) percent get a bigger slice of the pie, that's less pie for people like you.

So quit giving them control over the pie like a bunch of idiot socialist and free up access to the pie for everyone like good capitalist.

They already control all the methods of gaining more wealth. They can buy any vote, or any bill or measure that they want. You and I cannot do that.

Unless we tax them at rates that balance the budget, and allow other people more access to capitol, what do you propose we do to fix it?

More of the same? Less regulations? Less regulations are what got us to this level of wealth inequity. That's a provable fact. It's what the rich wanted, and it's what you've given them.

What's your solution?

Poor Richard. Still refuse to answer the question. I understand. It's embarrassing.

Now what proof do you have about the tiny minority, or did you make that up, too?

You're quite annoying.

If there is less chances of becoming rich, it is primarily due to philosophies and regulations that you as a modern leftist ascribe to.

Americans signed off their freedom (the real one) and then complain why they can't make more money...

Of course, I do not expect you to comprehend the above.

They already control all the methods of gaining more wealth.

Only though the government.

They absolutely would not have what they do if they didn't get to use the US government as their personal goon squad to bogart and protect their slice of the pie.

They can buy any vote, or any bill or measure that they want. You and I cannot do that.

I just did last year, that's why I have my permits/licences to make a fuck load of money each year.

Start a the municipal/county level.

Unless we tax them at rates that balance the budget, and allow other people more access to capitol, what do you propose we do to fix it?

People will have plenty of access to capitol if you give them the opportunity to make it (access to the pie) instead of SWAT teaming every lemonade stand they can find.

More of the same? Less regulations? Less regulations are what got us to this level of wealth inequity. That's a provable fact. It's what the rich wanted, and it's what you've given them.

That's fucking retarded because not all regulation is the same and the idea that less regulation = evil reich wing and more regulation = altruistic wonderful progress!! is just left wing derp. It's as stupid as the "Just get rid of all laws and everything will work out." idiocy of the extreme RW.

There are public interest regs and there are market mongering regs.

"No dumping toxic wast in the county rez" =/= "only 3 people get to sell booze in the state."

The solution is to let anyone and everyone following the "no dumping waste" have access to sell whatever it is they are selling and make that money.

The HARDEST part of getting paid in the USA is getting a licence from the government saying you get to do so without going to prison. That's the biggest barrier to getting rich....the government, it is the #1 enemy to getting paid and by far the largest threat to business in this country.

I don't want the government to punish the rich, I just want it to let me participate.

Hey, Fuckwit, you do realize the middle class is considered a historic anomaly, do you not? That the form of distribution of wealth predates the existence of USA? And that, by and large, socioeconomic mobility is generally fixed in modern America?

What regulations have stopped you from becoming rich.

Please list them in specific.

They absolutely would not have what they do if they didn't get to use the US government as their personal goon squad to bogart and protect their slice of the pie.

But they do.

That's how capitalism works.

Do you think under a "freer market" that suddenly they'd give up their access to power?

You can't possibly be that naive.

I just did last year, that's why I have my permits/licences to make a fuck load of money each year.

Start a the municipal/county level.

How many millions are you worth?

Compare that to the top 1% of the country. You will not get there.

People will have plenty of access to capitol if you give them the opportunity to make it (access to the pie) instead of SWAT teaming every lemonade stand they can find.

Who's going to give them the opportunity to make it? Give me the names of the people holding you back...

That's fucking retarded because not all regulation is the same and the idea that less regulation = evil reich wing and more regulation = altruistic wonderful progress!! is just left wing derp. It's as stupid as the "Just get rid of all laws and everything will work out." idiocy of the extreme RW.

"No dumping toxic wast in the county rez" =/= "only 3 people get to sell booze in the state."

I never said all regulation is good, nor did I imply it, nor think it.

You're conflating what I said, with what you wished I'd said, or what you think I believe, which is a logical fallacy on your part.

The solution is to let anyone and everyone following the "no dumping waste" have access to sell whatever it is they are selling and make that money.

And what if the people with money take umbrage to that, and use every means within their power to stop you from making money?

Do you suggest deconstructing the legal system and the methods of civil proceedings? Because you don't need the federal government for a rich corporation to sue you out of existence.

You just told me that you ARE participating... so how are you participating and at the same time not participating...

Either you're doing well off of your hard work, or you're not.

Which is it?

But they do.

That's how capitalism works.

Government control over the means of production, distribution and exchange of goods and services is socialism, not capitalism.

Under capitalism the market bogarting they do and socialist encourage would be illegal.

Do you think under a "freer market" that suddenly they'd give up their access to power?

Taking their access to power would be freeing the market.

Either the government quits hoarding the market for them or it frees it up for all.

Who's going to give them the opportunity to make it?

The opportunity is there, the government is just currently reserving it for the elites.

Try and make money without their permission and they will SWAT team you like you were a fucking terrorist.

Give me the names of the people holding you back...

The state of California, cal recycle, Marijuana Control board, Alcohol control board, CDFA, Water Control Board.

The United States of America EPA/USDA/FDA/DEA/ATF.

How many millions are you worth?

Compare that to the top 1% of the country. You will not get there.

More than about 97% of the population.....I'm just a good contract or a 8~ or so year grind away if I manage to not drop the ball along the way.

You just told me that you ARE participating... so how are you participating and at the same time not participating...

I am, I had to go gangster to get that permit to sell shit/rocks/dirt, showered my council in money and gifts. Ran a fundraiser music event for saving the redwoods.

Got my "welcome to the 1% income level" permit from the government.

But it was not easy, or cheap.

I'd like to open a chain of cannabis dispensaries and set up my own personal dive bar around the corner where people can still smoke inside ....but those once again those licences are coveted, government controlled cool kids club, elitist (D) exclusives!!

1. I did not say it is related to having a 'middle class'.

2. Becoming rich is a relative term. I never said you have to become rich like the 1%.

What regulations have stopped you from becoming rich.

Please list them in specific.

Certainly not talking about me :)

But for you, no one will give you an answer that'll satisfy you. Examples could be given, but you'll never get them.

It's a philosophy / school of thought kind of thing, that I'd have to write you a whole paper on, or give you literature to read; to which your limited mind, evidenced in the posts I've noticed from you thus far, will reply with: TL; DGAF.

And it's precisely why you'll never get it.

Different leaders have been trying to get you to read, research. Zilch, nada. I can't find a video now, but Obama countless times said "this is the truth, look it up".

No one does.

Government control over the means of production, distribution and exchange of goods and services is socialism, not capitalism.

Other than the defense industry, can you tell me where the government controls the means of production anywhere in our economy?

I think I see the problem here. You don't seem to understand what socialism is.

Under capitalism the market bogarting they do and socialist encourage would be illegal.

Wait... how would it be illegal? Wouldn't that be a REGULATION?

;)

Taking their access to power would be freeing the market.

Either the government quits hoarding the market for them or it frees it up for all.

Other than the Fed (which isn't the government) setting the interest rates, can you tell me how the government is "hording the market"?

The state of California, cal recycle, Marijuana Control board, Alcohol control board, CDFA, Water Control Board.

The United States of America EPA/USDA/FDA/DEA/ATF

As a free market capitalist, you are free to move anywhere you move to make more money. If you don't like it where you're at, just move!

bar around the corner where people can still smoke inside ....but those once again those licences are coveted, government controlled cool kids club, elitist (D) exclusives!!

And the (R)s are just doling them out left and right, arent' they?

No... the Republicans want to put you in jail for what you do.

Again, you're willing to vote against your own best interests... like so many people. The difference with you, is that out of all of the right-leaning folks on this board, I think you should know better.

So even with ALL of those people holding you back, you're still doing better than 97% of the population.

What the fuck are you complaining about?

Other than the defense industry, can you tell me where the government controls the means of production anywhere in our economy?

Agriculture, manufacturing of any kind really.

I think I see the problem here. You don't seem to understand what socialism is.

I'm using the standard definition of the term. What definition are you using?

Wait... how would it be illegal? Wouldn't that be a REGULATION?

;)

Yea....a very Reich wing one.

Other than the Fed (which isn't the government) setting the interest rates, can you tell me how the government is "hording the market"?

Go try and open a legal company to sell drugs and get back to me on how that goes for you ;)

As a free market capitalist, you are free to move anywhere you move to make more money. If you don't like it where you're at, just move!

You have no idea what capitalism is do you?

LOL

And the (R)s are just doling them out left and right, arent' they?

Who said anything about that? LOL

No... the Republicans want to put you in jail for what you do.

So do Democrats. ;)

Again, you're willing to vote against your own best interests... like so many people. The difference with you, is that out of all of the right-leaning folks on this board, I think you should know better.

How in the fuck am I willing to vote against my own best interest like so many people? At this point anything beyond shmoozing up my locals is a vote against my own best interest.

You're off in some loony toons world where you've made up some idea that I'm a Republican, likely just because I'm not a foaming at the mouth Trump hater...LOL

So even with ALL of those people holding you back, you're still doing better than 97% of the population.

What the fuck are you complaining about?

Most of the shit I had to go through explained why the 1% have what they do.

Honestly had the Army not given me a world class education on how to work a bureaucracy I'd have NEVER made it.

I think it's horrible and should change so that everyone has an opportunity to take a swing at something better.

So you think that opportunities should be available to everyone, and not just a select few?

Agriculture, manufacturing of any kind really.

Where are these government owned and run farms or factories?

Go try and open a legal company to sell drugs and get back to me on how that goes for you ;)

I don't have any interest in drugs of any sort. I think they're a detriment on society. However, I believe that people should be free to make their own choices and put whatever they want into their body. They simply need to accept the consequences for those actions.

You have no idea what capitalism is do you?

LOL

It's the system we currently live in.

It doesn't work for most people.

You've never voted for a republican in a local election?

I'm fairly certain that this current administration has plans to throw people like you in jail.
