I agree with you completely. It's the Gumps who are to "blame" for anything. Oh, I didn't vote for him - I voted third party. You are right. You were too chickenshit to take a side so you threw away your vote so that no matter what happened you could spend the next four years saying, "Don't blame me! I voted for the person who had NO chance of winning." I have more respect for the people who voted for anyone but Johnson, even if I loathe who they voted for. I certainly don't expect one, but I don't know that it would make a difference. I don't feel compelled to "forgive" someone for voting their beliefs, but if you were stupid/twisted/bamboozled enough to vote for the quivering pustule in the first place, I just don't have any faith in your ability to be a competent, contributing member of our democracy. He gave you every reason not to and you did it anyway. Honestly, if you listen to Alex Jones, you need to be thrown in fuckin' rehab.
To me, it's not "rubbing their noses in it." I want them to be held accountable. I think it will be a hungry, dark energy that I grapple with for a long time, but at least it motivates me. There's a lot of systemic lying and fear-mongering that needs to be undone.
