Perhaps they should. Or maybe the gay folks can come by and join them. A lot of the church folks have no problem targeting the clinics and the doctors. And the women and the protective escorts. They are vicious zealots.

I think the problem of overpopulation is going to need a multi-faceted approach to resolve. However the reality is that abortion and birth control are going to be the number one resources for fighting it. Unless Ma Nature decides to make it very nonconsensual and we get some virus that knocks most of us out.

And I agree. Lack of access to abortion clinics is not the cause of overpopulation. However it is not helping. Forcing more women to have more children does not alleviate the population burden - just the opposite.

I am just very very tired to this squeamish approach to abortion. It's just abortion.

No it isn't.

This is my point. Abortion is okay as long as X. Or it's not a problem as long as it's Y. As long as it meets my moral criteria then it's okay. Or if it doesn't, then it's not okay. Or ridiculous.

Moral judgment.

And frankly, on the other end of it... abortion IS birth control. The most extreme and last resort method yes, but that's exactly what it is.

You're saying essentially that if a woman won't use BC and has to get an abortion - repeatedly because of that lack of BC - that abortion is not okay, is ridiculous. In that situation, frankly we should be encouraging those individuals to have abortions as they are obviously having issues with foresight and planning and aren't then really good candidates for parenthood.

We make a lot of statements about abortion that we don't really think through but are accepted because people are squeamish and judgmental.
