Trump’s rating worse than Clinton’s during sex scandal

In August 1998, President Bill Clinton was mired in one of the most salacious scandals in Washington, D.C.’s history. Clinton had previously denied a relationship with former White House intern Monica Lewinsky, but both she and the president would appear before a grand jury that month, with Clinton being the first sitting commander in chief to offer such testimony.

And Clinton still had a higher approval rating than current Republican President Donald Trump. In fact, Clinton’s rating in that month alone was nearly 30 points higher than Trump’s, according to data from Gallup’s Presidential Job Approval Center.

The sheer extent of scandals facing Trump, as well as his former campaign and staff, and his lack of a major legislative victory have largely led to his most recent approval rating of 37 percent through 189 days in office.

A Reuters poll released Wednesday also showed Trump could be losing his GOP base. Over a nine-day period this month, Trump’s support among Republicans dipped six points.

How much longer can he run this con?

Donald Trump’s presidency was written in the stars—at least that’s what astrologers are saying. He was born during a lunar eclipse, they point out, which makes him more susceptible to the power of eclipses. And if eclipses are monumental celestial events with real-world consequences, as astrologers believe, then the rare total solar eclipse happening in August could have major implications for Trump, especially given the growing drama around his administration.

I wonder if Bob is going to dump the Trump laundry in August? :)

‘The White House is failing’: Adviser admits someone coming ‘from another planet’ could see Trump is a disaster

In light of the dumping of Chief of Staff Reince Priebus, an informal adviser to President Donald Trump’s administration lamented the sad state of affairs at the White House after seven months by calling it a “failure.”

According to the Washington Post, the abrupt departures of Priebus and Press Secretary Sean Spicer — both with strong links to the Republican Party — is reminiscent of the “Red Wedding,” a reference to a famous blood-bath scene in HBO’s “Games of Thrones.”

Another conservative who provides advice to the White House was downright fatalistic about the continuing tribulations of a Trump administration beset by scandals, FBI investigations, an uncontrollable president and back-stabbing among staffers.

“I think any observer — including one that did not speak English and knew nothing about politics and came from another planet and solar system — could, after observing the situation in the White House, realize the White House is failing,” explained the advisor.

‘The White House is a snake pit’: GOP operatives lash out at Trump’s chaotic inner circle

Following a tumultuous week in which newly appointed White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci attacked President Donald Trump’s inner circle — which led to White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus being ousted — GOP operatives are fearful that the chaos will never end.

One longtime GOP operative surveying the past week’s damage put it succinctly: “The White House is a snake pit.”

According to The Hill, Mac Stipanovich, a veteran GOP operative in Florida with ties to the Bush family, noted Jeb Bush’s comment during last year’s presidential primary that Trump would be “the chaos president.”

“I think that is absolutely the case. It’s not even a matter of interpretation,” Stipanovich told The Hill. “We don’t have any effective government, we don’t have any effective leadership and the White House is a snake-pit.”

‘Better take two sandwiches’: GOP consultant says Lisa Murkowski will eat your lunch — like she did to Trump

As Republican infighting once again killed GOP efforts to repeal the Affordable Care Act, the bungled lobbying effort by the White House is gaining renewed criticism.

President Donald Trump dispatched Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke to threaten the economy of Alaska in retribution for Murkowski’s vote against the bill.

“Let me tell you what little bit I know about Alaska and Lisa. When you go to attack those people, you better take two sandwiches because she’ll eat the first one for lunch and maybe give you the second one back,” Republic consultant Katon Dawson said on MSNBC’s “AM Joy” show.

“Since when did an administration decide to do that kind of threat?” Dawson wondered. “We’re pretty good at that – we used to be good at it – where at least it was quiet and we do it on the napkin instead of wide open and get caught.”

Surprising nobody, Murkowski gives as good as she gets and promptly postponed hearings Secretary Zinke had before her committee.

Murkowski has her hands on Zinke's budget, how much leverage can he have?

0%?:)

Frustrated conservative activists threaten 2018 consequences after Obamacare fail

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump tried to blame the implosion of Obamacare repeal on "3 Republicans and 48 Democrats" who "let the American people down."

But the conservative activist base isn't drawing any such distinctions.

But interviews with a half-dozen operatives and officials who operate in the grassroots space across the country reveal serious concerns about 2018 enthusiasm across the board if the party can't find a way to deliver on key campaign promises, including making another run at Obamacare repeal.

"Republicans are absolutely in trouble in 2018, just because of their absolute dysfunction at the moment," said Andrew Roth, vice president for government affairs at the deeply conservative group Club for Growth, which was advocating full repeal of the health care law. "Now, they can repair that, but only if they get their act together and pass pro-growth tax reform and take another stab at ... Obamacare. They have the time to do it, they just need to do it."

#MRFA, Make Republicans Fail Again!

Thank you, Donald.:D

Trump says mystery biker can fix Chicago crime in a ‘couple of days

CHICAGO — President Donald Trump on Friday repeated his claim that he last year identified a mystery Chicago cop to Mayor Rahm Emanuel who could solve the city's crime problem in "a couple of days."

But the president told an audience of cops on Long Island, N.Y., that he never heard back from Emanuel — a claim disputed by the mayor's spokesman Adam Collins, who said Emanuel never received the name.

Trump, who made a campaign issue out of Chicago's crime problem, said the Chicago cop was a "rough cookie" who was part of a volunteer brigade of motorcyclists who escorted his campaign in Chicago last year. When Trump stopped to pose for a photo with the off-duty cops, the "rough cookie" told him Chicago's problems could be "straightened out," he said.

"And I said, 'How long would it take you to straighten out this problem?'" the president added. "And he said, 'If you gave me the authority — couple of days.' I really mean it."

" ... I said, 'You've gotta be kidding. ... Give me your card.' And he gave me a card. And I sent it to the mayor. I said, 'You ought to try using this guy.' Guess what happened? Never heard. And last week they had another record. It's horrible."

What's the Cop going to do, arrest the Mayor and the City Council?

Ex-intelligence officer: Trump’s new chief of staff ‘might have to tackle him’ to stop a nuclear war

Former United States Navy senior Chief Petty Officer Malcolm Nance knows a thing or two about the chain of command and he think’s that’s why President Donald Trump is infatuated with hiring generals.

Host Joy Reid noted that it speaks to a larger conversation that Trump prefers the “trappings of an authoritarian leader” like Kim Jong Un or President Rodrigo Duterte of the Philippines.

Nance said that Gen. John Kelly will likely “fall in line” when he begins work in the Oval Office on Monday. As a Marine, Kelly is accustomed to following chains of command, certainly the commander in chief.

“He feels that generals give him that steel in his back and will get things done for him that he chooses to do,” Nance explained. “He does not want to fit the role of a president of the United States. He wants to be a CEO of a Trump corporation and he is going to put people behind him that will crack the whip.”

While Kelly will follow the chain of command, Nance said that Kelly “might have to be the guy who tackles him” before poor decisions are made like getting into a nuclear war with North Korea.

Not that there was every any doubt, but it's becoming clearer and clearer that Trump wants to run the gov't like a dictator.

He doesn't get this whole "Congress" thing, DOJ, the Courts. He thinks he should be able to THINK his thoughts and have the entire country snap to attention and just get it done.

He treats his ego as a matter for the Intelligence Agencies and National Security. When he says "look out for the country," he means "Look out for my precious self."

The Military is "his." The Attorney General is "his."

The opposition party is anyone who disagrees with him = the enemy.

It's not so much as he's so diabolical as to know what he's doing, like Putin. He's just an egocentric baby.

Oh I think Putin knows what he's doing, I mean he is pulling the Trumpanzy's strings and Donald doesn't even realize it!

Stinks to be you: Trump’s Scottish golf resort project has run afoul of sewage pollution laws

Two environmental agencies in Scotland have objected to plans by the Trump Organization to build a new 18-hole golf course at the Trump International Golf Links in northeastern Scotland.

Scottish Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA) has informed the president’s company that its expansion plans violate sewage pollution, environmental protection and groundwater conservation rules, reported Scotland's Daily Record.

Another agency, Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH), said the plans could be in breach of national planning policy, with the new course planned for an area of sand dunes. It further claims there are risks that sand dunes could drift over the course, damaging it.

The objections mean that the rejection of the plans by local authority, Aberdeenshire council are possibly, with the applicaton to be heard at a meeting on August 22.

Then businessman and reality TV star Trump bought the 1,800-acre estate near Aberdeen in 2006, however a string of setbacks put paid to his original plans for a $1.5 billion hotel, residential and double golf course complex.

The planning commission called the plans for the site “highly implausible,” and locals proved reluctant to sell up, with the site now comprising a single golf course and club house.

British corporate filings show the course lost $1.8 million in 2015.

Now Eric just has to figure out who he has to pay off, right?

‘Karma’s a b*tch’: Republicans don’t feel a bit sorry for ‘battered spouse’ Reince Priebus’ humiliation

Reince Priebus resigned last week as President Donald Trump’s chief of staff, and his fellow Republicans say he deserved the humiliation he endured during his six-month tenure in the White House.

As chairman of the Republican National Committee, he tried to play it both ways as Trump campaigned toward his nomination and surprise win — privately urging Trump to drop out over the “Access Hollywood” tape but publicly playing the good soldier, reported The Atlantic.

“He empowered Trump again and again,” conservative Trump opponent David French tweeted. “Reince was tireless in defending, excusing, empowering, and enabling Trump.”

Trump never forgave Priebus for calling on him to drop out weeks ahead of the election, and he never quite trusted his chief of staff but felt he was needed as a link to congressional Republicans.

Michael Steele, who Priebus unseated as RNC chief in 2011, said he didn’t feel any sympathy toward his former staffer.

“This is the bed Reince has been making for himself since he was my general counsel,” Steele told me. “He’s a guy who’s always positioning himself for the next thing. Karma’s a bitch, ain’t it?”

Ex-NSA analyst warns Putin’s latest moves show Trump is ‘expendable’ — and GOP should worry, too

A former analyst for the National Security Agency warned that Russia’s order to cut 755 employees from the U.S. embassy signaled the start of a new Cold War.

Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the personnel cuts in retaliation for a sanctions bill overwhelming passed by the U.S. Congress, and former NSA analyst John Schindler said both President Donald Trump and the Republican Party should be concerned by this new development.

“Only six months into his presidency, Moscow has assessed that Trump is a naif, an incompetent weakling who cannot deliver what Russia needs,” Schindler wrote. “He is therefore expendable.”

He said Russia hoped to unleash chaos in the U.S. by helping elect Trump, as intelligence services have assessed, but Schindler said Putin is happy to sit back and “watch the unfolding mess” consume American politics.

Come on Putin, release the "Pee Hooker Tapes" show Trump with his naked political ambition hanging out!:)

Well, we should keep in mind that it was a traditional-response move to something the United States initiated. And the numbers of U.S. embassy workers in Moscow was grossly disparate to Russian embassy workers in Washington.

Trump White House Apparently Non-Stop Bible Orgy, So Praise Jesus For That!

We’ve known about Trump’s deep abiding personal faith for a long time. He’s a total fangirl for Jesus, because he knows Jesus was an egotistical blowhard like him. He keeps his favorite Bible verses close to his vest, because that is Eyes Only intelligence between him and his God. He is like “NOM NOM NOM” when the priest gives him the little Jesus crackers, because he is so hungry for Jesus in his belly on those rare occasions when he attends church. And now we are learning from the Christian Broadcasting Network that the Trump White House is a NSFW, non-stop Bible orgy with so many Bible studies even Jeff Sessions is hurling his panties at the altar, ALLEGEDLY:

A spiritual awakening is underway at the White House.

Some of the most powerful people in America have been gathering weekly to learn more about God’s Word, and this Trump Cabinet Bible study is making history.

They’ve been called the most evangelical Cabinet in history – men and women who don’t mince words when it comes to where they stand on God and the Bible.

That’s nice. Does Trump attend? Nah. CBN says he is “invited,” which means he hasn’t grabbed one Bible by the pussy since the day he was inaugurated. But Betsy DeVos and Jeff Sessions and Rick Perry and Sonny Perdue and Tom Price and Mike Pompeo go. Oh, and Mike Pence wants to come too, when he has time.

ERWNJ's gather weakly in the White House? (aka Evangelical RWNJ's)

A basket of deplorables?

‘He’s losing it fast’: Republican predicts Trump will be ‘out of office before the midterms

Economist and former Secretary of Labor Robert Reich revealed a shocking conversation he had with a Republican member of Congress in a Facebook post Monday.

The post, which was published before Anthony Scaramucci was removed as White House communication’s director, paints a picture of a government in chaos.

When Reich suggested that the White House was imploding and the GOP was heading down with the ship, the Republican member laughed, saying “we’re officially in a banana republic.”

“They’re convinced Trump is out of his gourd,” the Republican revealed. “Remember what I told you at the start of this circus? They planned to use Trump’s antics for cover, to get done what they most wanted – big tax cuts, rollbacks of regulations, especially financial. They’d work with Pence behind the scenes and forget the crazy uncle in the attic.”

He then corrected himself saying that he’s hearing that Attorney General Jeff Sessions “is pissing them off.” He said that Republicans in the caucus anticipate Trump will hurt them in 2018 and 2020.

“They want him out [of] there,” he continued, saying that they’re hoping special counsel Robert Mueller comes up with a “smoking gun.” When asked what they would do if Trump fired Mueller, he claimed it would never happen.

If Trump isn’t gone by the 2020 elections they intend to put someone up against him.

How about Mr. Charisma, Paul Ryan? :)

‘Everything he touches dies’: GOP analyst Rick Wilson mocks Trump for dictating Jr’s Russia lies

Appearing on MSNBC’s All In, GOP strategist Rick Wilson pointed out that President Donald Trump is not only a “co-conspirator” in his son’s secret meeting with Russians in June of 2016 but that he is toxic for everything he gets involved in.

Speaking with host Chris Hayes, the acerbic Wilson took Trump to task over a bombshell report that he personally dictated Donald Trump Jr.’s statement about the meeting with Kremlin insiders that was later found to be false.

Noting the verbiage of the Trump-dictated statement, Wilson said, “This is absolutely what I expect. The stilted nature of the text alone was sort of a tell that President Unindicted Co-Conspirator was involved.”

“And the fact that he put himself in jeopardy means once again he is not listening to political advisers,” he continued. “Everything is shoot from the lip, everything is impulse, everything is whatever is in Donald Trump’s brain that moment, that he believes to be the smartest thing in the world.”

“So he saddled his own son with this terrible piece of convoluted and, frankly, deceptive rhetoric, that he forced him to put out,” Wilson suggested. “So then they had to walk it back day after day after day after day. And it is once again, by rule simple: everything Trump touches dies. This is a guy who — he’s got a curse on him. And he hit his own son with it. It’s just astounding.”

Trump reportedly rushed fake Fox News report as he entered the most brutal week of his presidency

According to a new lawsuit, President Donald Trump personally signed off on a since-retracted Fox News report promoting a DNC murder conspiracy that aired at the start of what could be the most damaging week of his presidency.

The lawsuit, filed Tuesday by Fox News contributor Rod Wheeler, alleged a wealthy Republican donor and the conservative network coordinated with the White House to promote bogus claims about a slain DNC staffer to deflect from the Russia scandal.

Wheeler, a former homicide detective, accuses Fox News and GOP donor Ed Butowsky of making up quotes by him on the July 2016 murder of DNC aide Seth Rich to support claims that were personally signed off by the president — who allegedly wanted the story rushed onto the air.

‘Fox News vehemently denies’ colluding with White House to promote DNC conspiracy theory

In the wake of the revelation that the White House signed off on a Fox News story spreading a false conspiracy about the death of Seth Rich, the network issued the following statement:

“The accusation that FoxNews.com published Malia Zimmerman’s story to help detract from coverage of the Russia collusion issue is completely erroneous,” said Fox News president of news Jay Wallace. “The retraction of this story is still being investigated internally and we have no evidence that Rod Wheeler was misquoted by Zimmerman. Additionally, FOX News vehemently denies the race discrimination claims in the lawsuit.”

Sean Spicer admits to White House coordination with Fox News on DNC murder conspiracy reports

Sean Spicer, the former White House press secretary, confirms that officials in the West Wing were briefed on a since-retracted Fox News report pushing a murder conspiracy involving a slain DNC staffer.

A lawsuit filed Tuesday by former homicide detective Rod Wheeler claims Fox News distorted his findings alleges that President Donald Trump personally reviewed the report before it aired May 15.

Spicer told NPR, which reported the lawsuit, that he was unaware of any contact involving the president — but he admits he was briefed.

He admits to meeting April 20 at the White House with wealthy Dallas investor and unpaid Fox financial commentator Ed Butowsky and Wheeler, a former detective and paid commentator since 2005 for the news network.

“Ed’s been a longtime supporter of the president and asked to meet to catch up,” Spicer told NPR on Monday. “I didn’t know who Rod Wheeler was. Once we got into my office, [Butowsky] said, ‘I’m sure you recognize Rod Wheeler from Fox News.'”

"Baron of Bullshit" strikes again!:)

‘I will not break faith’: Coast Guard admiral defies Trump order to ban transgender service members

(I believe this was a "Fuck You Very Much" for the Trumpanzy!)

The Coast Guard has decided that it will not honor President Donald Trump’s order to ban transgender people from serving in their ranks. He later claimed it was too expensive to pay their medical costs.

Military.com quoted Admiral Paul Zukunft, saying that his first action upon hearing Trump’s ban was to reach out to all 13 members of the Coast Guard that self-identified as transgender.

“I reached out personally to Lt. Taylor Miller, who was featured on the cover of The Washington Post last week,” Zukunft said. “If you read that story, Taylor’s family has disowned her. Her family is the United States Coast Guard. And I told Taylor, ‘I will not turn my back. We have made an investment in you, and you have made an investment in the Coast Guard, and I will not break faith.'”

:)

So, how will this end? A legislative coup (impeach-try-remove)? A cabinet coup (25th amendment)? A military coup (refusing unlawful orders)? A stroke? A disgruntled ex-apprentice? A flight into exile? Or only more of the same for as long as we can stand it?

Trump’s military aides can’t leave him alone

President Donald Trump can’t be left alone to make decisions regarding matters of national security—at least, that is reportedly the view of his new chief of staff, John Kelly, and of his defense secretary, James Mattis.

The two military men, who Trump affectionately refers to as "my generals," hatched a plan during the initial months of his presidency to ensure he wasn’t left alone while in the U.S., the Associated Press reported Tuesday. Kelly and Mattis agreed to schedule their travel arrangements so at least one of them could be physically accessible to the new president at all times, an official with knowledge of the pact said.

Sounds like a good plan, don't let him near the football!

Here’s why the GOP isn’t going to impeach Trump — according to new analysis

“Trump is fritzing out. Having manic delusions. He’s actually going nuts… it’s downright dangerous,” the member said.

Yet, no one other than Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), John McCain (R-AZ) or Flake have been brave enough to step up in opposition. An analysis in The Washington Post Wednesday explained that Republicans risk losing in primary elections in 2018 if they come out against Trump.

They did two experiments to chart this: one dealt with the firing of former FBI Director James Comey while another was about the meeting with Russian officials in which Trump revealed classified intelligence. They surveyed active and engaged Republicans, which they split into two groups. They were all told about Trump’s actions and justifications for it and split into a group that was told the GOP leadership agreed with Trump’s justification. The second group was told the leadership condemned Trump.

What they found was that Republicans were more willing to disapprove of Trump if the GOP lawmakers attacked his actions. However, when the group was told that Trump attacked the congressional leaders, their support for the GOP lawmakers dropped.

The important piece is that when both groups were told the GOP leadership supported Trump they were more likely to support the party leaders. When they were told the leaders disagreed with Trump, agreement with the party leaders dropped.

Few Rethuglicans will 'Do what's right for the Country" if they might lose their jobs for patriotism. Worthless pussies!

Tillerson rejects $80 million to fight Russian and ISIS propaganda — and his reasons are alarming

Short explanation, Rexxon doesn't want to piss off Putin!

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson made the highly unusual decision to turn down money for his department — $80 million to fight terrorist propaganda and Russian disinformation — because he’s afraid of angering Vladimir Putin.

The money is earmarked for the State Department, but Tillerson hasn’t submitted a request for the funds, reported Politico.

The funds are intended for the Global Engagement Center, which is responsible for coordinating government efforts to counter online terrorist activity and, since December, state-sponsored disinformation campaigns.

President Barack Obama expanded the unit’s mission at the end of his term after intelligence agencies concluded Russia had flooded social media with fake news and phony Twitter accounts to influence the 2016 elections, and lawmakers from both parties want a stronger U.S. response.
