The Army is too vital to have all the leftist PC madness subvert and destabilize it too,

Because, if "gender," the political construct, is about mental confusion the you most certainly don't want someone in the tower who might have mental issues any more than you want to give them access to sensitive data or working on the avionics of a multi-million dollar aircraft. We're not involved in a war large enough to require a draft, we don't need Cpl. Klinger, we can just send him home.

Another thought is the number of people it will deter from taking up a military career.

Recall as well that when the Iraq War started we were in the process of suffering from a crippling Bill Clinton defense cut that had chopped the Army in half 16 divisions down to 8, which required the hiring of tens of thousands of "contractors" to fortify the effort.
