There is a bit of real life drama I have considered writing up several times but it feels cliche, despite being true. It may, however. Be useful in your story idea.

About a decade ago the daughter of one of our neighbors graduated and moved out of state to attend college. She had been heavily recruited as an athlete, so her school costs were minimal to nil. Time passed, she continued to send grade data back to her very proud parents (she was in fact still in school and doing very well). But she needed less and less money for personal costs. Eventually, she quit sports, but remained in school and still needed no money from Mom and Dad.

Then, another set of neighbors vacation in the city where she is going to college.

Mr. Neighbor decides to visit one of the legal brothels outside the city. (Yes, we're talking Nevada). Mrs. Neighbor thought he was on some hotel sponsered outing or another, in which she had no interest. Once at the brothel, Mr. Neighbor discovers that the tight bodied co-ed is working as a prostitute a few days a week, far from full time, and paying all her own education expenses.
