Aussies! Check in here!

Greetings to our 2 new peeps!

As is usual here for anyone that has a name with more than 5 letters, we are going to end up typing the shortened version of your chosen moniker - which I have arbitrarily decided should be LG for LucianaGrace and lust for lustingmoment :)
I am probably the only member from Tassie on this site, so feel free to give me hell about my second head.... But remember, I live in paradise so I won't care anyway!

Edited to add green! Sorry I missed you
Welcome :)

Awwww, thank you for the welcome WQ! :rose:

Wishing all you Aussie Lit-peeps a fantastic weekend of mischief, sunshine, and laughs.:rose:

You were a Melbournian who moved up north? I don't know you well (yet), but it feels like a big loss to us.

Hehe, no. I was a QLD'er who moved to Vic. And I'm still here! I'm freezing my bits off! But I do love it :)

In that case, welcome to sunny Melbourne. The perfect place for romantic snuggles (and hence sharing of body warmth).

Ahuh! Clever! I knew I was doing something wrong...

Afternoon all,

Must have missed the post a couple of pages ago, so welcome to the new posters, I know... a little late. Good to see though that others are getting involved.

Not sure about LG for Luciana makes her sound like an appliance. Need more info for a proper nickname. However welcome to Melbourne in the Winter. Not many northerners can handle Melbourne in the Winter or if they do visit they don't come back till Summer. As I tell my friends from up north...the cold keeps your skin tight.

The start of another week and the end of FY so lots of sales on, also lots of damn road works with councils trying to spend the rest of their budgets. As for the road works in the city regarding the new rail system well just forget St. Kilda road if you're travelling thru the city, too many road closures which will go on for a long time. Take Spencer St or King St. instead. And yes the freeway to the airport is also impacted yet again. Seems they know I will be travelling in about 6 weeks.

Purchased a photo scanner although not the one I planed on purchasing. Will see how that long term project goes.

Hope your week goes well.

I have a photo scanner as well..... I'v had it for about 4 years and I am only halfway through the many boxes of photographs my parents took over their lifetime
I also have my fathers first camera - a 35mm ADOX, which still works perfectly!

Looking for fun

Hello All,
Ignore the place name in bio, I was living in England when I set this up. I am now living in Tasmania, like you WQ!!
Anyway, since this is a personals forum I will leap in. The beautiful wife and I have been fantasising recently about her having a passionate fling. Unlike me she was a virgin when we got together and married. So with my blessing we have talked about her experiencing something a bit different. the details still need to be worked out. We are heading to Melbourne this weekend and we have quite a bit to do, but we were thinking that perhaps a late night drink in a bar could lead to more.
She is very hot (my humble opinion) 36 red hair, size 12-14 amazing boobs, wears glasses very much the sexy librarian. A bit shy about just going out and trying to pick up on her own because she has never done it.
If you might be interested or know someone who might please let us know. Someone mid twenties to late thirties, patient and a bit nerdy would probably be a bonus!
Cheers

Hi hi hi

So yup I'm an Aussie. from country Sth Australia. So I'm all about kicking vic's 😋Cept I go for a Vic team in the AFL..go figure!
I've known about the site for I dunno 10 or so years but never thought about joining. I dunno what possessed me but yep I did. And now my amount of posts looks pitiful. Double digits will make me happy.
I hope everyone is having an awesome week. Staying rugged up.

Speaking as Melbournian, it was a great result.

Don't get me started on Melbourne, bloody Mexicans. Apologies to the poor people in Mexico for the slight... just joking guys and girls I'm not Donald.

Ohh and Downundergirl you probably think I'm stalking you and you may be right. I'm leading a party of fellow professional gamblers (farmers) on a tour of some parts of regional SA in September. So if you see a lost Thrifty bus in the southeast, then Barossa and finally Clare best steer clear.

Hahaha I live an hour north west of Clare I promise not to puncture a tyre or two 😋

Hey WQ

I haven't started on my big photo scanning project yet, but will have to soon. Going up to Toowoomba next month to catch up with friends and aim to take some of the old photos up there in digital format. It was funny talking to the salesperson who didn't seem to know much about the scanner.

I still have my old SLR that I've taken on lots of trips OS. Don't really want to give it up till I find a digital replacement with the same features. It seems the only thing people seem to care about is the MP size, what a con job considering most people only take holiday snaps.

Hang onto your dad's camera will be worth something. Reason it still works is that it doesn't have a computer chip in it, like everything seems to have these days. Even my heater has a motherboard so you can't mess with it. It tells you when to service it otherwise it just stops working.

Yes well we do have better coffee, restaurants, water...I know it's tough living in Melbourne with its shops, cafes, public transport, night life...but life wasn't meant to be easy. People up north come down here to feel what it's like to live in a real city...:D

When I first heard about the Mexican thing I was at my nephew's wedding a number of years ago. Thought it was quaint country lingo, like cave men discovering cutlery. Then again the person who said it attended a wedding in shorts and thongs.

Afternoon all,

Good to see more people posting and finding the thread. So keep it up and welcome to all.

Well mid way thru Winter here in Melbourne town and the single figure overnight temps are kicking in. Saw that even Alice Springs was down to -2 overnight one day last week.

Not impressed with these new energy saving globes. It's like they have to think about turning on after you flick the switch. If you want instant light you need a back up. It will be like going back a couple of hundred years when people used to walk around the house with candle sticks. We seem to be going backwards as we become more advanced.

So the penalty rates thing is game on. Apparently cutting wages encourages more employment, in that case lets cut the wages of the pollies in half and we can employ everyone in the country. Private industry will only pocket the money, not employ more people. As their mantra goes "greed is good". Cutting people's standard of living is not the road to prosperity.

A bit of lessons learnt thing - if you are doing home reno's and want to change cupboard handles, buy yourself a small pair of bolt cutters for those new snap off screws, which don't actually snap off without a bolt cutter. False advertising of course. It's not like snapping off a Kit Kat finger.

Hope the rest of your week is easy.

Welcome

Im in the Adelaide Hills, a lovely bit of SA. Your posts will creep up quicker than you think, enjoy the site.

Hmmm, I've been to Melbourne a couple of times and always found it to be a fantastic place to visit. The only problem is the pompous inhabitants and their superiority complex. 😕

Awwww...this may be a little true. All the wonderful Victorians upshipped and moved to regional Victoria ;)

Looks like we'll pass like ships in the night. From Clare we are heading north east to a farm at Burra and then south west to another at Hoyleton.

I live in port Pirie so it's just across the highway...
Sounds like an awesome road trip you have planned.
