Is anyone worried, besides me, about July 4 weekend ?

The deranged and determined seem to be very focused on destruction, this year.

With all of the fireworks getting set off,it is a perfect cover for other purposes.

:(

There will be a militarized police presence during Boston's celebration.

There will be a Pops rehearsal show on Monday night from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. If you’re set on getting a spot on the Esplanade for the 4th, get there early. Gates open at 9 a.m., and the lawn fills up throughout the day.

Can you clarify? What are you afraid of?

Terrorists? Americans? A celebration of a free. A free nation breaking ties with a globalist monarchy?

If the pope will be around, are you worried about Baptists or Buddhists? Muslims? Atheists?

I dunno about you, but the militarized police force bothers me. Especially when the subjects ... errr, I mean citizens, don't complain about the police state.

Maybe you need to get your tinfoil hat adjusted. It seemed to be blocking the alien's signals.
Good luck getting in before the weekend events.

GSGS is like a retard who heard a bunch of Orwellian quotes but read the wrong book.

Is this about Michael Moore telling people to rise up on July 4th?

From my observations of the USA, you must be the only yank who doesn't.

Ever since the September 11th attacks, there has been a concerted, ongoing effort to make people believe there's a bogeyman around every corner. Mind you, the chance of being killed in a terrorist attack in the U.S. is essentially nil, but it's a convenient excuse to make people pliable and accepting of the erosion of their constitutional rights. One is more likely to be killed in a car accident on any given day than they are to be killed by a terrorist in a decade.

In some regards, we are moving closer to what it was like under King George when we demanded our separation. And yes, that is a deliberate reference to our upcoming independence celebrations. Don't take it personally. I only brought it up because of the striking similarities.

There is a boogeyman around every corner. It's called religion, you dumb fuck. It makes people do crazy shit for socially aceeptable reasons. What was that Sam Harris quote... *Googles*

"The problem with religion, because it's been sheltered from criticism, is that it allows people to believe en masse what only idiots or lunatics could believe in isolation."

"People who harboe strong convictions without evidence belong at the margins of our societies, not in our halls of power."

"We have a choice. We have two options as human beings. We have a choice between conversation and war. That's it. Conversation and violence. And faith is a conversation stopper."

Liberals LOVE to stop conversation. That's why they love Islam.

Twenty years ago, twice as many people were killed in one day because of the Orthodox Church than were killed on September 11th. This doesn't include the rape and concentration camps set up by the Orthodox religion.

I don't see you whining about that religion.

Is anyone worried there is no July 4 weekend this year? July 4th falls on a Tuesday.

Most will just take the extra day. I suspect there will be a rash of "brown bottle flu" on Monday.

LMFAO!!!

Or a wineover.

I know, I know, my guess is there is about a 50/50 split of those who have to work and those who get a 4-day weekend. PLT's jab was stil funny, and Mark is close to right, but that will expand to Wednesday also.

But fear? From who?
I just hope that people keep alcohol separated from anything that needs adult supervision

Well, you should open your eyes, you moron.

Is anyone worried that President Trump might set off The Mother Of All Fireworks today?

A powerful rocket, the Long March-5 Y2, has failed an hour after lift-off from Hainan island.

It had been taking a seven-tonne communications satellite into space.

No further details were released by Chinese state media, other than that an "anomaly" was detected.

The rocket blasted off from the Wenchang Space Launch Centre.

You do realize that's not a rocket to be used as a weapon right? It's taking a satellite to space.

As far as your 4th, was it as scary as you expected. Oooh I hear Chicago had 101 people hit with gun fire. But that's a typical weekend in Chicago. So no biggie.

I noted in another thread that I live near a narrow mountain highway conveying Californians to Sierras resorts like nearby Kirkwood. I hear the traffic. Today is Wednesday 5 July. The holiday 'weekend' started last Thursday and will likely wind down by next Monday. Ask me when the "Kirkwood 500" traffic noise diminishes.
