The biggest problem for Litsters like me, who actively search for an on-line partner, is that it's a pure coincidence, whether someone like us, who might be just the one we are looking for, reads our ad or not. Or whether we happen to see a sign of her somewhere on Lit, which prompts us to react to her.

A possible solution is bumping one's ad; either by self-bumping or by getting help from a friendly soul who reads the ad. This way our wishes + desires become better visible for another day. But there are limits to that. That is why today I am making a new attempt instead. Hoping for another coincidence, which works out better than the previous ones, when I capture the limelight one more time for a short moment:

I am NOT looking for superwoman. In fact what kind of a woman you are exactly is immaterial, as long as you WANT THE SAME out of an on-line relationship as I do.

I am missing sufficient closeness (and intimacy in fact) with a woman, who craves erotica and lust as much as I do.

That is my problem in a nutshell. And the only solution to my problem I can see, is finding a woman who feels like I do, AND who wants to attack our common problem by exchanging intimate mails with one another. It's as simple as that.

That is not a perfect solution – I know that – but under the circumstances that prevail for me, it is the best one I know. And the woman I look for should be convinced of that as well. And be willing to try this solution with me.

My signature post outlines what I hope such a mail exchange will bring both of us. If each of us is prepared to give as much as you and I want to get out. Once again here, in short, I hope for (erotic) excitement, for (interpersonal) empathy, and for (intellectual) intercourse involving erotica, but not stopping there. And – as a result – for an additional overall feeling that eliminates some of the emptiness in that respect, which we felt, before we began sending each other mails.

In case BOTH OF US want all that, preferably ALL of the above, and to a strong degree ideally, I see no reason why our wishes and desires should not materialize. After all, each of us is a special person, so why shouldn't it work out?

Sunday bump

here's another attempt to catch the limelight for another day

How many times did you catch the limelight in your other 5 ads?

If at first you don't succeed, keep doing the same thing over and over! Works every time.

I thought this one had a much nicer tone to it, and leaves the field a great deal more open. The 'coincidence' point is nicely made too. I'm perpetually puzzled that I've ever managed to connect with anyone on the interweb, given how huge it is and how fussy I am.

IP is right about the capitals though - they do feel a bit shouty. Maybe use italics instead - I know it seems like a small thing, but CAPITALS vs italics just conveys a slightly different tone.

I heard that is something that makes the ladies go all warm and fuzzy inside.

Definitely melts my marshmallows.

I have to admit I didn't read more than 2 of his 100 paragraphs, this ad or the last. I have no idea what he wants, but his random capitalizations made me laugh. I gave him free bumps for it.

If you are going for him, good luck!

Hello and good morning to you Kim, I am really glad, that this time my ad (almost) meets with your approval. You HAD to get in some critique "sideways" of course (italics vs. capital letters).

Let me assure you that this great lapse of mine occurred solely due to my unfamiliarity with Lit's formatting options. I am getting to realize that I must assemble an editorial board perhaps, comprising of you, IcePrinces, maybe more expert Litsters, for checking every word of mine that I might want to dare uttering here on these boards in the future.

Just to make sure that political correctness is maintained. At all times, and at all costs.

BTW, the core of this ad was exactly the same as my last one; the one y'all harped on for being so terrible. Some day, Kim, even you will learn to understand the difference between a "list of specifications of an ideal woman" and an expression of what an advertiser is hoping for may happen in a mail exchange.

I was actually trying to be helpful - I found the caps pretty jarring when you messaged me as well. They are traditionally used to indicate shouting online, and it's hard to read them any other way. If you want to italicise something, just select the word/s and click on the 'I' in the toolbar (just like in Word).

And I was also trying to counter IP's critique, because I genuinely think version has a gentler tone. The core might be the same (because, after all, you know what you want), but the icing has a significant different flavour.

I guess I'll give up on the whole 'being pleasant' thing ... it clearly doesn't come across how I intend.

Kim, I apologize for being unable to catch your intentions. And thanks for the lesson on what supposedly capitalization means. And on how to achieve italics in Lit text.

Have you considered that capital letters also simply catch attention better than the rest of my text? To denote passages I find important?

Political correctness does have ist problems, doesn't it?

BTW, how come you are up so early in the morning?

Well, they read as shouty. Maybe use bold? It's not about being politically correct ... if we were standing in a room talking and I was shouting instead of using a normal speaking volume, you probably wouldn't like it. Same thing here really. (I'm not really saying what is 'supposedly' means - it's been a convention pretty much ever since I've been using the interweb. I suppose I can't find peer reviewed research to back that up, so there isn't strong evidence to support my assertion, but you could ask a few other people - I think they'll confirm it.)

It's not morning on this small island.

Sleep well then, when you go to bed!
