Homesick.

They're posting on this thread.

Nice. ;)

And while I loathe Indiana and say I'm going to leave as soon as I can, there are things about it I think I would miss - the sound of locust/cicada in the summer, the fireflies, the smell of campfires in the fall. I just can't imagine those being the same if I move to the Pacific Northwest or West.

When I was growing up, I thought I lived in the most boring place on Earth. Nothing but trees and rocks and rivers and crap, and an 18 mile drive to the nearest Taco Bell.

That's where I live now. Taco Bell is conjoined with KFC though.

Indiana has some beautiful places and I'm lucky enough to live in Indianapolis (which is huge so good luck to the stalkers who try to hunt people down). But it is very conservative and lacks culture. My parents went out of their way to ensure my sister and I weren't effected by that aspect of Indiana. And my sister and her husband just moved to CA this weekend and I already miss them dearly. Cannot wait to see them soon.

I completely misread your post and thought you meant you currently live in Taco Bell. That would be its own special hell.

I would never have left Maine if I could have found a decent job there. I'm still a country girl at heart.

I love Maine and could live there but...weather. Brrrrrr.

My family goes back six generations on both sides. I'm one of those people you see at the store in January wearing a parka, shorts and Bean boots.
