KIA only if the container ship intentionally rammed them, which I seriously doubt.

Bad enough to be killed in combat, but to die essentially in your sleep because of an avoidable accident....

Doubt they died in their sleep. Most probably drowned after watertight doors were sealed. Image of container ship track is quite interesting.

Yeah, I was being very general with "died in their sleep". More likely they woke up drowning.
Either way, a terrible thing.
