The Houston murder was all over the news here last night. Occurred pretty close to my house. Mom got angry at her boyfriend, stabbed their kid. Then tried to kill herself by intentionally wrecking their car. Boyfriend doesn't know what the hell he's going to do now without a car.

The mom was charged with capital murder, which in Texas means a very good probability she'll be executed upon conviction

I was a single mom at 16. Finished HS finished my bachelors degree and managed to work through it all and stay off of assistance. I may not be the norm, but when I found out I was pregnant I knew her dad was not going to help and 100% considered adoption. I am really glad I did not do that. We are best friends at this point and..I have two amazing grandkids that I am not to old to play with...
