I drive around a lot while working. Sometimes I end up parking in spots that are scenic. Here's a shot from earlier this week. Yes, that's my car, 1 of them anyway.

Post pics of places where YOU live that are good "Park-ing" spots. It can be anything and doesn't have to indicate where you live, just make it scenic. But, put some sort of transportation in there too.

First and foremost rule: It MUST BE a picture YOU TOOK. Not something from the internet.

I take lots of pictures like that I travel anywhere from 300 to 500 miles a day and I'm constantly looking for shady spots to park. Which are surprisingly hard to find. I've got a little slot off of Highway 74 which cuts through some beautiful Sonoran Desert that used to be an entrance to a property but nobody seems to use it anymore. No actual shade, but at least I can turn the back of the car with a tinted window towards the sun in the morning.

I need to take the time to get a battery for one of the laptops or figure out what my password was for the other one because I get there so many things I can't do with just a phone.

I just take the pics with my phone. Simple and fast and I don't really care about composing some shot that will make me famous as a photographer. Just a quick snap because I thought it was neat at the time.

A different harbor than the first pic:

You need a better parking spot.

Somewhere south of Seattle would probably work. :D

Nope, that spot is perfectly fine. Although, next winter, the cruiser will not have to be parked on the path to the shed.

The new spot will be about 70' south southwest of the current spot.

I keep reading the thread title as "Fuck-ing places."

I should get my head out of the gutter.

I could almost hear the squirrels breathing it was so quiet. It was like I was the only creature awake in the whole world at that moment.

I tend to park in the very back or some point further away from a main entry point. Especially at work. No hassles. No time wasted driving around for that special spot everyone else wants. No bickering or fighting for a close spot to wherever. Most times I'm in/out easier and quicker than others. I'm smooth like that.

Fun fact: Google sends you an email when your photo has 3,000 views.

Pulled over to answer the phone. Not a lot of traffic around there.

Fun fact (OK, not so fun), At the base of the hills on the other side of the canyon is a streambed down in a gully. In one of the more notorious murders that happened here, the murderer dumped the victim's body in that streambed.

HUNDREDS of volunteers walked literally hundreds of miles down every trail, every streambed, drywash, gully, and roadside looking behind every rock and under every bush before they found her. The volunteer turnout was huge.

nice building.

I didn't know Lit host photos: I thought it was drawings only.

It's the local City Hall / EX - Courthouse. It's faced with marble tiles and the interior is all original woodwork.

Lit allows images to be uploaded but there are RULES you have to follow. Break them, and you can get banned.
