The Isolated Political Blurt Thread

Guess I'll have to be more careful who I give my cell # out to. Never know they could be a Russian spy sleeper. Or Trump, Sanders, or Clinton operatives.

No. I do not want to receive a call from Emperor Caligula Carrot, just because he sat on his POTUS smart phone.

George Takei is still fighting the good fight in our global village square. White genocide, the young men, and their leaders, cry.

Actor and activist George Takei on Sunday pushed back against “trolls” on the Internet who are upset because the new show Star Trek Discovery will have a diverse cast.

"The president was totally ignorant of the history of internment here,” Takei said. “And these people claiming that Star Trek is… white genocide don’t know what they’re talking about, they’re equal to the president of the United States. I think the president is as foolish and as uninformed and as ignorant as these trolls are.”

WTF ?

Amnesty International says that shortly after sunrise on Tuesday, security forces turned up at the home of its Turkey country chairman, brought him to his office, then took him into custody.(Taner Kiliç, Chair of Amnesty International Turkey. Kiliç has served as the chair of Amnesty International Turkey since 2014 and has been involved in its board since 2002)

Amnesty says police also detained 22 other lawyers in the western coastal city of Izmir.

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is getting of rid of anyone that would dare speak the truth ? Trump must green with envy.

Photos: How tall is James Comey? Tall. Like, really tall.

At 6 feet 8 inches, Comey — who reportedly likes to play basketball — is likely the tallest FBI director ever.

He was in Chelsea, Mass., on Tuesday for the ribbon-cutting of a new Boston FBI headquarters, and even next to Governor Charlie Baker — who clocks in at 6 feet 6 inches — Comey basically towered over everyone.

(six photos to show how very tall he is)

By the time the current investigations/hearings are completed the public outcry will be:

Lock him up, lock him up, lock him up...

Horrifying

To contemplate, that in trying to create a world that never was, they will bring a horror to life. Something, that almost no one wants. That does not matter to them. They do not care how badly wrong this thing will grow. They want their way, and no other. They would force it on others, with a metal hand.

Once, again, the gentleman's agreements that held everything in place for America, were broken. The Republicans have depended on them, to corrupt and destroy.

They do not care, that they will destroy the United States of America, for such petty desires.

Ashes in their mouths, ashes in their mouths, ashes in their mouths...

Have faith, my heart pleads, that what was written, in order to keep us whole, will still ring true.

What the creators did not anticipate, is that Americans would seek to destroy their creation.

There is no limit, in how far they would go.

Who will be the new Senator Joseph R. McCarthy ?

Known as McCarthyism, the paranoid hunt for infiltrators was notoriously difficult on writers and entertainers, many of whom were labeled communist sympathizers and were unable to continue working. Some had their passports taken away, while others were jailed for refusing to give the names of other communists. The trials, which were well publicized, could often destroy a career with a single unsubstantiated accusation. Among those well-known artists accused of communist sympathies or called before the committee were Dashiell Hammett, Waldo Salt, Lillian Hellman, Lena Horne, Paul Robeson, Elia Kazan, Arthur Miller, Aaron Copland, Leonard Bernstein, Charlie Chaplin and Group Theatre members Clifford Odets, Elia Kazan, and Stella Adler. In all, three hundred and twenty artists were blacklisted, and for many of them this meant the end of exceptional and promising careers.

By 1954, the fervor had died down and many actors and writers were able to return to work. Though relatively short, these proceedings remain one of the most shameful moments in modern U.S. history.

They will find bodies to fill the for-profit prisons. At this very moment, they are making out-of-state prison labor, legal. How wonderful, for corporations that utilize prison labor. Shifting prisoners around, to suit their needs, would be very profitable.

As it stands, sending prisoners out of their home state, to serve time, has become normalized. The Wall St. crash of 2008- 2007 did damage to America. The wealth continued to trickle up, and the harm trickled down.

I hope to fuck, that I never have to wake up to the nightmare they are building.

The Trump admin plans to create jobs. If they ruin careers along the way, they don't care. Those people can moonlight in the mines.

Lindsay Graham says Trump can't collude with his own government, so how can we think he colluded with Russia?

The GOP That Failed

The party didn’t decide. And now Republicans are stuck with Trump.

The GOP That Failed

The party didn’t decide. And now Republicans are stuck with Trump.

So this may be a good time to remember that in a key sense, Trump happened because a well-established, real-life mechanism that was in the best position to prevent a Trump presidency failed. That institution was the Republican Party.

It is not entirely true that Trump engineered a “hostile takeover” of the GOP, provided that the party is defined more broadly than elected officials and party insiders. As Conor Friedersdorf wrote last year in the Atlantic: “the elements of the party that sent pro-Trump cues or Trump is at least acceptable’ signals to primary voters—Rush Limbaugh, Sarah Palin, Ben Carson, Chris Christie, Breitbart.com, The Drudge Report, The New York Post, Bill O’Reilly, Sean Hannity, Ann Coulter, Jeff Sessions, Rick Scott, Jan Brewer, Joe Arpaio—are simply more powerful, relative to National Review, Mitt Romney, John McCain, and other ‘Trump is unacceptable’ forces, than previously thought.”

The funny thing is Trump was never a Republican, he has always been a self-serving cocksucker!

Trump's 2000 book, The America We Deserve, argued strongly for a single-payer healthcare system based on the Canadian model.
