We have chinooks, pinks and coho in the Great lakes. All the B.C. fishing shows I watch don't use king salmon often.

The Canadian river is the Coppermine not the Copper.

What's a red salmon? Heard of pinks but not reds.

Edited my post. Was incorrect about pinks being chums. But that may not just be me. Think I have heard others use the term pink for chums.

I believe chums are dogs because they are fed to sled dogs. Perhaps this is the fish referred to earlier. Chums in the Coppermine. Not chinooks in the Copper.

Awesome things to catch. Big one in the Thames might go 25lbs. Can be caught here in London during spawning season. The old Springbank Dam would stop them. But now the dam is down hopefully they can be caught much further up the South branch.

With the dam down, muskie have been caught downtown. Hopefully steelheads will make it up. We refer to lake run trout as steelheads just like ocean run trout. Resident river trout as rainbows.
