Intolerable? Did this just happen?

Why didn't Cuomo ask Obama? Was he afraid Obama would say no since he didn't need New York's votes?

Cuomo asked Trump via Twitter? Is Trump not taking his calls?

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) has requested emergency funding from President Donald Trump to improve New York City’s Penn Station.

Cuomo posted his full letter to the president on Twitter Sunday, in which he called the current state of Penn Station “intolerable.”

“While this is not a hurricane or flood it will affect as many people and businesses with dire consequences,” Cuomo wrote.

Amtrak executives told The New York Daily News that they would start shutting down train tracks for periods of time to make long overdue repairs.
Cuomo said that the 600,000 passengers who travel through the station each day would face a 20 percent reduction in service during peak hours. This would have negative effects on commuters traveling on other transit systems, such as the subway.

Why not just finance it from all the revenue they would get by increasing the nominal tax rates? You can always get the majority to support that if you limit the increase to the upper brackets.

You don't suppose that Cuomo is a believer in the Laffer Curve?

1st class DRECK

He has a working brain so I'd guess no.

Was watching Tucker Carlson interview a member of New York's City Council a few days ago. He was questioning the councilman about a measure he had introduced and wondered how the councilman could focus on that when Penn Station is such a shithole. Carlson said it wasn't safe for his children to go into the public toilets at the station, and suggested the councilman might have faulty priorities.
The councilman strongly defended the rights of child molesters, drug addicts and drunks, and said it was more important for Trump's tax returns to be made public.

Will there be a Twitter Secretary if it is to be used for government communications and funding request?

Or is it the only thing Il Donald reads? Hope there aren't too many characters or big words in the letter.

It appears Gov. Cuomo's been a very busy man. Apparently..demanding, unveiling, appointing & fighting didn't solve the problem.

Cuomo calls Trump's budget 'reckless' and 'dangerous'

If Trump's budget is "reckless" and "dangerous," where does Trump find the money to help Cuomo with Penn Station?

What does this have to do with Penn Station?

I find that very hard to believe. He might have defended other priorities, but that's not at all the same thing.
