So I never tried viagra and thought I'd share my experience.

Some history. I'm in my 40s. Don't have much sex with my wife (maybe once a month). Jerk off a ton mostly to stories and porn. When I jerk off my hard ons are usually solid. Some time iffy but usually good. With my wife is another story. I've struggled lately. Not getting my old hard ons that i used to. No idea why and then it frustrates her then that pressures me and i overthink and it turns into a disaster.

So I thought let me give viagra a try. I got the 25mg packs and for the first time I took half a pill (so 12mg). Wow! Unbelievable what a difference. We started fooling around and not even a minute later I was rock hard and stayed rock hard the whole time. My mind is blown. My confidence is way back up. I feel amazing. I also noticed the two days after I took it I had great hard ons on my own as well.

Just thought i'd share this so if anybody else is on the fence it may be worth trying :)

Very familiar

I completely understand the cycle of failure and frustration. My ED issues started around my mid 50's. Our sex life had become very vanilla and as a result, my boners were beginning to suffer. The first 'failure to launch' was a forgivable event. After that, the frustration on her part put a ton of pressure on me to 'perform'. Nothing breeds failure more than the fear of failing. It becomes a cycle that is almost impossible to break out of.

As a last ditch effort, i too sought a prescription from my M.D. I must say it was such a wonderful feeling to be at full mast again after several years of being at half mast. It was surely appreciated by the both of us. I too, found a bit of residual effect that carried over into the next day. It was nice to fuck, thenjerk off with a fully charged cock.

Unfortunately, there are a number of other medications that make it unsafe to combine with Viagra. It can cause the unsafe and possibly deadly lowering of blood pressure.

I hear you. Shame about that i agree. I really have to research all the potential downsides because right now it's too good to be true

I have been taking it for years. I get the 100 mg pills and I cut them. I'll take 10 mg or so to pleasure my self and maybe twice that for matrimonial sex.

I also have used cialis. 20 mg at a time. It says that it is good for 36 hours but for me it's more like 48 and the third day there is still some effect. Levitra gave me a headache.

My first viagra was after the death of my father in law and I found 50 mg pills in his bedside stand. I took the whole thing and WOW did it ever work.

I forget what dosage I took for the first time. Aside from the random antibiotic, I have zero experience with pharmaceuticals. I remember sitting there waiting for something to happen. After about 15 minutes, I felt a warming of my face and neck. Aside from the erection, that was the only thing I noticed. There was a mild visual effect, as if my vision was a little brighter. The nice thing was being able to have sex without having to worry about staying hard. There may be minor nasal stuffiness in the morning, almost like allergies. That went away pretty quickly. Never got a headache. I bought a hi tech titanium pill splitter. I take half a 100mg. now. Why do they charge the same for a 25mg. pill as they do for a 100mg. pill?

Thanks for starting this Thread!

I've recently considered giving this a try as I am easing into my 50's.

A couple of questions for those of you who have used any of these:

1.) Does it leave you walking around half-cocked all day... on the verge up popping a full boner whenever the wind blows?

2.) Any encounters with the undesired 4-hour erection referenced in the disclaimers of their TV commercials?

3.) Have you noticed any change in your refractory period? Any improvement here (over falling asleep in 2.5 seconds after blastoff:D) would be awesome!!

Thanks!!

1). I rarely take it during waking hours. I feel "primed" before we start up.
2). I don't think I get the 4 hour wood. I hear they let the youngest, prettiest nurses drain those at the hospital.
3). I have not noticed a change in the refractory period. My wife wears me out though. Bitch.

Haha!! Thanks Ramone!

I have to take meds for mild hypertension so doubt any variation of 'boner' tablets are likely to be prescribed for me.

I am glad to hear that there are others who are satisfied with the results. I, on the other hand, have not had such success. It has been probably ten years ago I tried Viagra. It did help get it hard and keep it hard but it was always a one and done. Maybe that is because I had "programmed" myself into that over the first twenty years of marriage. I tried Cialis and had similar results. Even tried Levitra. Not only did it not produce the desired results but it gave me a headache as well.

My first experience was a 1/4 pill in my twenties left me uncomfortably hard for awhile.....Not touching the stuff til I have to...

I took prozac for depression (doctor prescribed) and it only helped a bit, however it did give me lasting ED. So I take cialis 20mg (also doctor prescribed) an hour before "activity". It's effects last for up to three days. I will never stop taking it. No side effects for me. I am in excellent health otherwise, BTW. Low BP, cholesterol, resting pulse.

1. The erections from cialis are not uncontrollable. I do find I start to 'chub up' if I'm thinking dirty thoughts or see a hot gal, but it's no worse than when I was in my late 20s - early 30s. This effect decreases over time.

2. No issue with 4-hour non-stop boner. I imagine I stay hard for an hour or more when I'm asleep, but never been a problem.

3. Hard question to answer. But I'd say that the enhanced bloodflow to the area does not hurt the "turnaround time". And that second hardon will be hard, not a semi.

sissy just had it for the first time two weeks ago, drove sissy nuts.
It was given while in camp, do not know the dosage.

This was my biggest worry. I'm blown away by how it worked. No different feeling. took it and thought i thought i'd be walking around hard. Instead it's when you touch it you just get instant reaction and response ;)

Just positive all around. Can't believe how amazing it is.

I first took Viagra several years ago, notices the flushed face feeling but boy did it work, good for four hours. Took Cialis later in anticipation of a mountain vacation with another couple and it left me very uncomfortable, headachy, which I attribute to the altitude effect also. Years after that I tried it again ( at lower altitude) and it was great for a happy weekend. My old GF said I was like a teenager.
I'm 75 now.

I have been taking Viagra for three or four years and have found the results excellent. For one thing I probably now get much stiffer than when I was in my 20s.

Probably the most spectacular proof of how good Viagra was that I took it just before fucking a fuck buddy of mine. I did her twice before falling asleep and then did her again when we woke up. (She came the first two times, but not the third).

That was all on one pill and that little blue pill continued to work well into the following evening when I fucked my wife.

Good on you Mr Briggs my friend for saying what you said with your OP.
Aged 63 I'm glad for my prescription for Viagra. In the UK, me being over 60, that means it's free for me on our National Health Service, which is something of a bonus.

In fact I prefer a 'Herbal V' - which of course costs but not too much. But if I am really tired and my wife is interested, I take the Viagra as that way I am certain of a real stonker of a hardon. The reason I prefer herbal V is that it does things to my brain, in a way which Viagra only does things to my plumbing, for all it does that so effectively when I need it. More about that whole 'difference' on the thread I host on the subject, a click from my signature.

To get political here: From Europe it is very easy to get a hold of cheap 'generic' viagra from India, and it is the same quality as the original in my experience [I've done some considerable testing of both on myself]. From exchanges I have had in pms here on Lit, I gather - perhaps mistakenly - that the generic viagra is 'blocked' from the US of A. What is that about? Why do American men have to pay a fortune for what the rest of the world can get cheaply? How can the pharmacutical companies have that kind of monopoly hold on a supposedly free nation???

OK I'm off your theme here Mr Briggs but we over here are constantly asking the question, "What of poorer Americans and health treatments?" We don't get your system.

I live in the US and haven't used anything but generic Viagra for years. Not only is it available here, but it is pretty hard to avoid the ads for it, which are everywhere.

Thanks for putting me right on that! The world is full of misinformation and I apologise for my dose of it just now!
