I know i'm not the only one here who suffers, and i find it helpful to share and seek help even if you don't think you need it, it can be nice to have someone who understands whatever you're going through.

Please take this seriously and as a place to share your thoughts, judgement free :)

Are you lost?

You're certain to invite judgement here when you post "no judgement allowed." People love a challenge.

((I'm one of the board trolls.
But as far as I'm concerned, one's physical or mental health are tabu topics for me.))

I always thought that the internet can be a good medium to get support around such issues.
And I noticed that quite a few people got support when around such matters, in the GB.

I would suggest tho that people keep things a bit more general without going into too many personal details.
One never knows who lurks or how they might interpret or use such things.

Wrong place to post?

No....but it isn't a therapy friendly environment unless you've got some thick skin and therapy for you includes taking your gloves off and getting your own shots in.

Moderators on other boards certainly won't put up with most of what goes on here, the rules on the GB are extremely sparse. Basically other than infringing on copyrights or posting pedo shit it's a free speech board.

So if you want to be acknowledged and have your feelings "validated" by a bunch of "awwww we iz so concerned about you and really care about your feelings." while they PM shit talk behind your back types then feel free.

However if you're the kinda person who doesn't mind the absurd, crude, unfiltered and even combativeness the GB facilitates this might be the perfect place for you to post some shit like that.

On the other hand.
If people were careful about (not) sharing too many personal details and they kept it general (ie what helped them when they were in a funk or so on, or what type of skewed beliefs usually makes people feel anxious or stuck ),
this could turn out to be a great thread.

Because there isn't a person who doesn't experience low or anxious or angry mood from time to time,
or didn't have problems dealing with their job, or with other people etc. at some point or another.

Just a personal opinion about this type of threads.

Well, women tend to be more reflective than men, and they don't shy away from discussing about such things.
Whereas for many guys it's like: "Shut up and let me tell you in two words how to fix your problem, because the football match is starting in 5."

Depression and anxiety are truly awful things to deal with. I feel bad for you and hope you get better but I don't think you're going to find what you want here. Lots of boards out there for people with these illnesses tho so maybe seek one out. You're just going to get shit on here.

Do you really think that?

It takes a lot of courage to ask for help. Welcome. :)

My sister is finding pet therapy a huge help to her on the odd down in the dumps day when she feels a bit overwhelmed. She says volunteering to sit and socialize with animals from a local shelter gives her inner peace and a less busy mind.

That's a great idea! Thanks :)
