What bothers you most about Lit?

I know it's a sex site, it's pointed out to me often enough, but I get bothered by men who send messages avs the first words are of a sexual nature. Try to get to know me first, find out if that's something I even want. I know I'm not the only Lit lady with this complaint. I like posting photos and sharing my experiences, but that doesn't mean I want a graphically sexual message from you.
 
The stupid double standards used when it comes to this whole "Copyright" issue. We all know there's more than a few threads that seriously break the rule, but they slide right by most of the time, then a thread gets removed that has what a handful of images?
 
It bothers me when people use fake pics for AVs. You'll never catch me doing that! :rolleyes:
 
Search function is terrible. Also, I'm on a dozen boards, and this is the only one that has to close threads after 5000 posts. Lame!!
 
Guys who feel its appropriate to have a dick pic in their AV. It's crass and very unappealing.

People who send sexually explicit messages and/or pics...jeez, at least have the courtesy to TRY and say hello!

The petty BS and bitchiness that seems to go on with some people.

Two main things I dislike... one, the site itself is so archaic... two, some people can be very mean and catty. My skin is too thin for some of the message boards.

But what I do like is I can almost always find someone to chat with for a little while when I need a reprieve from life. Sometimes I like the silliness of the playground. Totally meaningless chatter.

1) Dick pics in the Av
2) Dick pics in the profile pic
3) People who can't be bothered to fill out a profile
4) Mods who quickly delete pics or threads
 
1) Cocks in avatars (except for THROBBS'; his is cool)
2) Cocks in profiles
3) Cocks in signatures
(the above three are going to start going on my ignore list)
4) Everyone on my ignore list
5) Arrogant and condescending people

My dislike of Lit is something I dislike in real life as well. All the drama. Have an issue with someone? Talk to them about it. Dislike someone? Don't involve them in your life, don't interact with them. Avoiding all the drama is easier than creating it. I just don't understand.

What bothers me about Lit...

1) Mods shouldn't post/interact with members. It opens the door to favoritism, which leads to a whole other ball of wax. I've said this since I first joined 14 some-odd years ago.
2) Mods shouldn't be able to make aliases (and start game threads. Cheaters anonymous, line forms here.)
3) Too many similar threads. Admittedly, this would be very hard to enact. It would make more work for Mods than they need to.
4) Not being able to ignore Mods. There aren't many, but there are a couple of Mods I really don't like, and if they are allowed to interact with regular members, then I should be allowed to ignore them, like regular members.
5) When you log on and see the first twenty threads or so, were all answered by the same person. I like variety when I interact with people. I don't like interacting with the same person over and over again. You might as well just PM with the person. When I see this is happening, I usually just immediately log off.
6) When people hop others in game threads just so they can interact with ONE person. Seriously, it's like, get a room! PM with the person if you want to only interact with one person (This is not a gripe when people post in the same minute or three, after someone else does. I'm talking about when someone posts 10-15 minutes afterwards, and ignores the 3-5 people posting after their intended).
7) in the same breath, people that get into a run of replies with one person in a game thread. I don't really mind if they flex their posting to allow others to play too, but usually, they don't and you get ignored and open game threads are meant to be where you play with others, not just one person.
8) Cliques. People that use and rely on their friendships with others to rule mob mentality.
9) Though I've used them in the past, I have to admit I am getting tired of acronyms and alphabetisms. "You just saved 2.3 seconds by typing an alphabetism!" ooOOooo, I'm ahead!! It just gets silly. I could write an entire post or response with nothing but alphabetisms and acronyms and most people would go "...huh?"
10) it's funny when the LGBT group posts in other threads, but then they have "no heterosexual posts" in their threads. Double standards and all that.

The rest, meh. If you are in any forum and expect to only deal with others that are identical to you and think like you do, then you might as well not bother logging in, and have a nice long conversation with yourself. I expect others to be different. I might not agree with those differences, but as long as you can discuss differences as adults, then it's a work in progress.

I have no problem with the Gen Board. I like that people with too much time on their hands, and thoughts on their minds have a place to go and discuss what seems pointless to me.

I'm not being argumentative - just offering my commentary. Cocktars make me laugh, especially when laughter is not the intent. :D
